A possession receiver is one who makes tough catches, usually in the middle of the field. They aren't burner's; not the guys who will outrun the defense and make long plays. They are the tough guys who get the first down, and can expect to be hit as soon as they catch a ball.

This doesn't apply that much ini madden though
