Put a mega energy cell upgrade into player and it disappeared?

I added it to make kyle hamilton go from 88 to 89, he stayed at 88 and the token is gone. What kinda bs is this?

I just took all mine off my te. I have him at 88. And Hamilton at 87. I never tried exceeding the 88 threshold.

My te is at 80. Hamilton was already at 88 before this, when i unlocked that cell upgrade i put it on hamilton and it didnt change from 88 but the token is gone. Is there a reason 88 is significant? It looks like there are several upgrade slots beyond it.

tokens are worthless tbh.  once they are both at 88 there is nothing left to do with the tokens

Welp, that explains that lol guess next tjme i unlock one ill put it on the te. I just dont know why they have the upgrade slots and let you put the token in beyond 88 smh

For a limited time you could raise his overall higher, but the timeframe they had for that has passed - so now it just does nothing.

You sure you can't downgrade to get your token back?   Every upgrade after 88 is 88 so you should see if you can downgrade to 88 to get your token back from the extra slot you didn't need to do.

I got my tokens back. I was 1 short of getting both to 88.

Yes, 88 is now the maximum for Goedert and Hamilton. The temporary 95 OVR has expired. Putting additional tokens on either of these players is just wasting the tokens for no reason now that the 95 OVR was reduced to 88 OVR Max.
