So i need a N.e.r.d to break this down mathamatically. Joking but in all seriousness i want to know the real reasons etc... so

Question 1. If i want to put a CB at SS someone thats really good at zone take for instance Calvin, do they still play like a 93 or do they all of a sudden play like an "82" all of a sudden now because thats what they get demoted to when i put them there for example.

Question 2. If your answer is they still play the same, then my question to you would be then what gets nerfed exactly? is it just the "Number rating" on it that just changes? Or is there really nerf at certain situations for them?

I’ve never understood these post. Try it and see for yourself how the card does. OVR only matters at the end of the year when trying to flex you have a 99 OVR team. Moving someone out of position does not make them play terrible for years now. The Richard Sherman legend at the beginning of the year was sun par for me at CB but one of the best cards I’ve used when I moved him to SS.

Only place I wouldn’t play too many people OOP is the o line. Other than that if the card plays good for you fuck what the overall is

Chill out buddie i just started playing madden literally a few months ago learning the game. Appreciate the feed back though.

Got it ima try it out just didnt want to put them there and low key didnt know if there was a nerf doing that but glad to hear that it just the overall and not to pay attention to it and see how it plays first.

as far as I remember, playing out of position hurts only player's awareness

many people use corners at safety positions

Jonbeast when he won the Most Feared MCS tournament, he used two safeties at the outside corners

The reason that the OVR Drops or Rises sometimes is because

all of the positions have certain attributes that mean more than

others do to that position.

Like RBK means alot to a FB but means Nothing to a CB.

So when you play a player OOP then depending on the position

he is meant to play and the position he is moved to will make the

OVR go up or down depending on the Attributes and how large the difference.

So when you move a CB to SS, Hit Power means alot to a SS but

nothing to a CB, so the CBs OVR will drop. But the SPD is a main

attribute for both so if the CB is faster than the avg. SS it will help

his OVR stay higher a little.

So it really just all depends on the players Regular Position and the

Position that he's moving too and the MAIN, IMPORTANT, Attributes for both.

The Main Attributes for a Position are at the top of each players card.
