Rage quit method is legit faster...that needs to be fixed

I'm playing on PC with pretty expensive nerdware which may change this a bit. I normally didn't do this but my wife ended up needing something, then I threw a pick six and decided screw it. Alt F4 and go help the wifey. But the perspective of actually doing the rage quit method is rather eye opening.

Normally the game rubs it in your face, forces you to watch the theatrics of your epic fail via replay, multiple times, sometimes even seems to force another step or two, then FINALLY allows you to leave. So I decided to give it another go the next time I inevitably feed some lucky newb. Guess what, it's either a lot faster at getting a new game going, or maybe just FEELS faster.

TL:DR/summary: No surprise, but it's legit faster on PC to start a new game via alt F4 and restart in many cases, rather than wait for the game to allow me to quit normally.

Doesn't the game's longish load time negate the savings from not watching the celebration?

It's usually not long for me at all, but I think it's situational. There are times the load times would be longer when it doesn't drag out the theatrics, but either way, the main point would be that people should be able to quit when they want to and not have to wait, lmao. It pretty much enables the rage quitters.

Oh yeah, I wasn't disagreeing, just saying the time is probably pretty close. I hate nearly all animations I have to sit through. And I definitely agree people should be able to quit immediately whenever they decide to.

Nah I get you. I gotta work on brevity for sure, so I was just clarifying because I know my writing style can be scattered and hard to follow. Wasn't because I thought there was any disagreement, and even if there was, well, cool.

But yeah. It is ridiculous what people have to sit through. As if throwing picks isn't bad enough, lol...sadism is in the game for sure. I mean, you can have the replay there, could maybe shrink it a little and put something else on the screen too, but why does it have to disable the pause menu function? It makes no sense at all.

If you guys are throwing interceptions right now, it's on you.  But the game is definitely way too forgiving for bad players. 

I lost two games lately in the 4th qrt. Hand the ball to my RB to milk the clock....fumble. Disgusting. Bad players won. 

Not right.

There's always that guy who just has to say that. I agree it's on me and that's why I work on improving it. Kind of implicitly stated in my OP. But ya just had to go there, didn't ya...

So, this is exactly what communication failures look like. Or perhaps a troll being most likely, but we'll see how this goes for a minute.  I'm not sure where the misunderstanding is, but I'm guessing you interpreted something I said differently than the intended meaning. Let's start with this: where do you interpret me needing EA holding my hand?

Read some other posts from that guy before you spend much time on him. I, personally, wouldn't bother.

Their opponents throw interceptions right to the defender and the defender swats it. Now, one time? Ok, ill buy one time mistake. However, I've seen it happen to me 3 to 4 times a game. Bad read...swat it or drop the interception. 

Now, If I make one bad read? Super computer animation overtakes my user after I click on and intercepts it....

Im not the only one. 

Bobby V is pretty vocal about it. He isnt paid off, so.

Recently...today ...Skimbo was getting railed by EA Sports. 

My opponent makes 18 mistakes, get quick sheds and i have 2 seconds to make a read and pass the ball...

My opponent? My pass rush does nothing. A bad read? My defense stands their and does nothing....

And I was watching Bobby V stream the other day and he had a point and said...."why am I always behind the 8-ball?"

Its the truth.

A long diversion away from my question; you said "if it makes you feel good having EA hold my hand". How does EA hold my hand, and where do you interpret me feeling good about it? This post I'm replying to doesn't connect with my question. It merely states your recollection of the game bailing weaker players out with bad coding.

Also, earlier, you said if you throw picks, it's on you. An interpretation of subtext could be, the game's coding for defense is terrible, therefore there's no excuse to throw picks. But apparently you make bad reads, and now you're saying it's the game giving the opponent those sick animations. But as stated, I throw picks myself, and believe me, my bad reads are get picked off every time, and are going for six the other way most of the time. If not they're usually scoring immediately on offense anyways. So it seems like in your view, my opponents are the ones getting their hands held? You're contradicting yourself quite a lot here.

EA helps the lesser player. 

They help the way too much, to where its exhausting for a good player to play not only opponent, but you have play agaiant EA Sports and the  computer and code.....

If I said EA holds your hand then that was my interpretation.

If i wrong l, then I'm wrong.

We can play for some money. Any amount.

Otherwise, either agree...sit down and accept that i am right....

So, I just realized, I think we went wrong here because you probably believed this post I'm quoting here, was in response to your "the game is way too forgiving of weaker players" bit. However, it was in fact, in response to "if you throw interceptions right now, that's on you" as indicated by the second sentence. Granted, I should have used more specific phasing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this makes more sense than anything else.
