I don’t have any challenges, solos was gated, but still, why would they start S2 with no promo?

Not only that, they intentionally had dual layer sucurity for anyone daring to get a good free card. They didnt communicate that season 1 tickets would carry over, AND they withheld the 88 and 89 upgrade tokens in case you beat them at their own game. Worst company of all time gets even worse every year. Hard to picture many people buying these games again next year.

All AAA games are like this now. It's just the reality of trying to play video games.

Well, i havent bought 2k in years. Im never preordering anything ever again. And im an oldhead who lines up preorders like candy. Theyve killed the gilden goose.

And if IM changing my habits, the more tech savvy and slightly younger (not too young though, there brainwashed in the total opposite direction, fall in line, worship people who sit at ac desks like they deserve the medal of honor) im quite sure people are way ahead of me.

Free rides over big companies. Start putting in work or die off.

The issue is there are too many people purchasing microtransactions. New players/packs=more money.

same. I stupidly assumed we would get enough in season 1 to fully upgrade all the players and by the time I realized it was too late. so I ended up having spare tickets with notihing to use them on so I got what packs I could. definitely would have saved them for season 2. ea probably guessed people would do that and thats why they didnt tell us.

I've been playing Madden since the late mid-late 90's. So I've seen the evolution of a lot of gaming companies & the games they make EA in particular. These companies now, and EA is one of the biggest offenders. They want to sell you half of a game at full price while still raking in micro transaction money. They will eventually patch in the other half of the game throughout the year and call it "live service" while we call it what it is which is a "half assed" product. We need to get to a point where they charge a higher price for the base game with no microtransactions and that version has everything in it for a one time price like we used to have & for a sports game like Madden you charge no more than $20 per year for a roster update (should be free & then you can use your microtransaction scheme all you want to monetize the game for the year. If people would stop opening packs and making EA rich for a year of protest we could get anything we want within reason. Bcs the NFL would take notice & get involved and that's the last thing EA wants. The rich people who like to spend money to get over on the poor and the gambling addicts that simply can't help themselves are the reason the game is in the state it's in. Average people like me and you & I'd argue the majority in general just want a fantasy football sim that works with a mostly level playing field.
