Just won a SB coin run and only played 3 minutes of total defense in game action. Was the receiving team in all 4 games & managed the clock to keep my opponent from keeping the ball.
cheesy? Maybe. But sold my team & playing with a 92 BND squad - so just trying to get the coins🤷‍♂️🤣 still impressive nonetheless to play that little defense
I played against this. It was disgusting. Quit after watching a person literally run RPO for 4yds and then give up. Yea. Enjoying your coins bro. When the game becomes about making coins instead of about football you should play a different game.

Yeah I faced RPOs two runs ago & couldn’t get off the field. I just ran against 3-2-6 dollar. Dudes kept sitting in it so I just kept running for 4-6 yards a play🤷‍♂️

That is truly impressive. Especially with 92 OVR team. If I come out and move the ball easily, I typically go Chew Clock and grind it out.
Games have been rather sweaty all of a sudden, though. Not many casuals. Weekend used to be easy money, but now I'm fighting for my life, including Wild Card and Divisional early rounds.

Yea the guy I face ran the exact same RPO and would “give up” after a gain of 4 with chew clock on. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was OP. I am fine with someone running it down and trying to get a win. Coming into a game with that game plan for a few thousand coins is ridiculous.

I feel like I just need to get to Rookie Premiere and obtain any MUT 25 items I can, call it a year, and hope that MUT 25 will reward intelligent football play over AI exploits.

Good luck with those hopes and dreams. Â I went into this past cycle with essentially the exact same mindset. Â Here's how it panned out for me. Â I invested a TON of time and nearly ~15M coins (during MUT `23) to do literally everything I could to prepare for `24 season, built or bought all 33 Rookie Premier players/cards, to say i was HYPED heading into my first day 1 MUT release would have been an understatement.
Pre-order Deluxe edition, so i could have the Points and three day head start on the game during pre-release period... many folks STILL haven't gotten their 4600 Madden Points they paid for as part of the Deluxe edition, Rookie Premier cards that i was expecting on (or near) day 1 didn't get delivered for weeks and weeks into the game, at which point they were mostly useless, I had to blown 2800 Points on a starter team, because everything I did to prepare was all for naught, UGGH.
Oh and i hoped the gameplay would improve, that there'd be more of a focus on legit theme teams, instead of Legends or whatever and each and every step of the way, EA made the worst possible decisions. Â The game is more RPO / cheese / exploit using same few route combinations that can abuse the AI defenders, than anything I've seen before, and it's clearly more pay to win than it ever has been (which is truly saying something).
Not trying to rain on your parade, merely suggesting you temper your expectations. Â Good luck. Â I want this game to be good in the worst possible way, however, that does not seem possible as long as EA holds an exclusive license with the NFL for "simulation" fatball. Â Genki Clash is super simulated football, right?
