it’s gonna take TOTY chem to get me off the SB team at this point. and even then, my dudes got 99 speed and all the abilities I kinda need right now
they really shot themselves in the foot with how they structured theme teams this year

Exactly. I kind of have to laugh at what I see as a greed backfire. They tried forcing everyone to buy a whole new team basically every promo for profit and they eventually ran out of ways to keep making the next one even better. It bit them hard in zero chill but they managed to work really hard to revive it temporarily with playoffs and def with sb. But now theyre cooked. Lol

the abilities and speed for SB team make it almost end game for me. got 99 speed everywhere now

100% man. What EA really needs to do at the very LEAST is add a UL chem to rival SB , Ghost, and playoff. Even still, the abilities on these UL's stink, but at least UL chem would be SOME incentive to pick these up

Maybe i am over thinking but i see it as every season has a dominant program, Zero Chill, Playoffs, etc. Each dominant program has an extension (GOM for ZC, SB for Playoffs, etc.) There are other side programs like Campus Heroes during ZC days and now GK and UL in Playoffs. The later are just 11 day programs and they come and go.
Would it make sense to link Campus Heros to ZC and GF/UL to Playoffs, perhaps but may create too many op teams.
Personally what i'd like is to slow roll the large programs over the season nn addition to new programs but I can see how that complicates things from set/value/etc.

My take is that the plan all year was to roll out cards in a way that maximizes pack sales between Christmas and the Super Bowl with intentionally overpowered cards. EA has made most of the big money for the year at this point and is fine if the pack sales slow down.
With that said, I am shocked the UL cards don’t have any zero AP abilities or program boost. I will never understand why they killed the legends programs the past few months.

Even when a big new promo happens - with 99 cap and zero ap abilities - SB will still be comparable

I just picked him up for my free 96. got the 0 AP ability. First game using him and he got worked off the edge by ZC Brandon graham LMAO

not really complainin… stating how EA made their own future cards irrelevant. why get an UL and buy packs when the older cards are better

You dont think better cards will come out? Im not to sure your SB team will make it to the end but i have been wrong before. I believe 0AP OP cards will rise to the occasion. New Team chems and possibly expanding the normal TT. Possibly a ZC 2.0 program chem easter style. We shall see

yeah bro i know that haha. read my first post in the forum. I was just stating that even UL’s aren’t enticing right now, i think TOTY and easter are gonna be the only cards to really pull us away from the SB team
