While it can’t be proven it’s always been suspected. not just in this madden but also the previous ones, this is the scummiest they have ever been in terms of milking the playerbase so anything is possible

I think EA took the "make or break stuff" a little too literally. As in, they couldn't make it, so they decided breaking everything was the way to go out.
