I thought it was just a fluke but I've noticed it on multiple different tight ends now.
Has anyone else noticed short in elite not proc on the plays It should when using it on a tight end?

I may be wrong but I think it only procs against man coverage. That’s on all players not just TEs. I heard something about this the other day but may be remembering wrong
The description definitely does not say that lol... And it definitely used to proc every single throw earlier in the season if it was a short inside route.
it still lights on my taysom hill all the time but I use him in the slot
It mentions man coverage in the mut.gg description, but it's not clear whether it's a requirement. My guess would be that it is
This sucks currently building coins to buy Hill tonight just for that 0ap short in
Well it’s meant to be a man coverage beater so it makes sense the opponent would need to be in man coverage for it to activate. Whether this is the case or whether it has other parameters, I have no idea.

See when I was using him it never lit but I was running trails out of the tight end position

He was the first one that I got that I noticed it did not light and I started testing it...
I immediately got rid of him though when I realized he can't do aggressive catches. It's worth spending one AP on short and elite. If you're going to use it on a tight end that can actually jump and grab the ball, there will come a time where you will throw an interception because he does not do an aggressive catch
yea I had got Taysom with the intention of him being my slot WR so ive never used him lined up next to the line. His SIE will still light up for me when I do send him on a deep corner but I mainly use him for short and mid routes, I knew getting him I wouldn't be throwing hella high balls just bc it would be harder but hill is meant to get open quick and break tackles when he has the ball and he's done great for me when I use him paired with Megatron and Moore

I have Moore and Calvin for that if needed. For me te's run drags and corners routes. I like to switch up personnel and formations. A pass catching tight end with 0 ap short in would be perfect I have Mike Ditka with his one AP Deep out. Thanks for the heads up I will lap short in on Mike this morning before spending on hill.

I guess you don't really understand what I mean. I don't mean intentionally throwing the ball deep or high to your tight end. I rarely ever do that. I just mean there will come a time where a play breaks down or a pass goes a little high. And if your guy has the animation to jump, it will save you from a pic and get you yards. But that tight end does not. That ball will just fly right over his head to the defender.
Copy that thanks for explaining.
I got friends who believe throwing to a covered receiver and using aggressive catch is a viable offense strategy. So that's the first place my mind went. I went to practice mode with short in on hill. Love that in lights up against man even on a corner route. But I'm getting no lights on 5-yard catchs on drag routes against zones
Yeah that's what I noticed. You get no lights on any sort of short in route which is the whole point of the power up.
You will notice though that if you accidentally overthrow him he won't jump for the ball when you press triangle because he doesn't have that ability and that's a deal breaker for me cuz it can easily save you from a pic

Madden is so inconsistent during practice was just hitting him right after his break between the two hashes no lights against live player who tried to jumped it the second time had to hold and then threw it to him between the numbers and the hash imagine my surprise when I get a light up on catch. So I went back to practice. Short in elite light s up only between the hash and the numbers. But between the two hashes I'm getting nothing
