was under the impression short in/deep out was the best combo, but been hearing stuff about short in/short out, am i tripping or is that the new wave?

depends on your scheme... but I like at least one short out so they can't press that receiver, which frees up the short in or route tech to work. I use deep out on my solo side receiver and short out in the slot.
