Alot of unhappiness from this site and game is around zone KOs. I feel they have a place, but shouldn’t be everywhere on the field. Yes, this is ultimate team, which me included tend to forget.
I feel that D AP should be lowered and zone KOs be raised by at least 1 AP. Nobody should get it for less than 2 AP, as they have been proven to be OP in the landscape of mut.
kos need to be raised if that's the main issue ppl have with abilities on the defensive side of the ball no reason to hurt the ppl that like to use other abilities besides kos and lowering defensive ap makes it harder to use momentum shift to get rid of the xfactors.
Unless ea will also be fixing man coverage and making it competitive like it used to be , then no, ko ap need's to stay the same. It is the only fight chance defense has against offense this year.
Main issue I have on the defensive side of the ball involves inability utilize man coverage and get consistent results. In previous maddens, I ran a man based defense. I was forced to switch to zone, as man this year is broken.
Also I would say the issue of elite o-lineman loosing all brain cells and letting lb's go right through the A-gap on a 3-4 man rush without being touched, should be prioritized to be fixed over raising the ko ap (before any one comments "oh this is so easy to stop", yes I know how to stop it by sliding my line and ID'ing the mike). I could under stand a-gap issue naturally arising if someone rushes 6 or even 5 people, but the fact that people can rush 4 and sometimes even three and have my 99 ovr jason kelce lose all brain power and cognitive ability and let the lb walk right in for a sack, is f-ing ridiculous.
I say lower AP and raise KOs so that people use less KOs or have less for other abilities like colossus or momentum shift
The same arguments here on gg about rpo plays are the same as zone KOs.

I tend to believe there's a bit too much ap available on defense at the moment to be balanced. If you're using the best discounts there's easily enough ap to give every db two or more zone KOs and still have ap to spare for whatever other xfactors/abilities you want to run.
Like others have said, I do think some KOs are a necessary evil with how the game is coded.
