I currently run 40 Packers TT 

I have kinda wanted to use just players I like using. I have kinda wanted to go  back to use using any player I want. Should I?

With only 40, there's a lot of spaces to use players that seem fun.  I wouldn't do another theme team for someone besides your favorite team, it gets old.  If you have the coins, do legend.

Why not do both? I have my main squad alongside a Pack TT that I also maintain. Then you can just switch between the two at leisure.
