ThorsQuads said:Abilities for sure need to go. Keep X-factors and actually make them game changing. Like a “Revis Island” X-Factor where, when activated, you completely shut down the receiver. like to where you cant even throw it to him. To activate it though, you need to have given up less than 20 yards when targeted in the first half. you get the idea. Hard to activate but game changing when on. Sick of the KO abilities on defense. such a bailout
Madden was always meant to be a sim , not an arcade game. When I wanted to play a game that was completely unrealistic I played NFL Street.
If people want variety from that, that's why there are arcade/sim/comp modes available....
I have no problem with abilities and X factors in Arcade mode. But if they do what they used to and based play off the cards stats and attributes then there's no need for a Revis Island X factor because he will play the way he did IRL (or as close to it as possible).
Edit: This is how EA itself describes and advertizes Madden:
Madden NFL is a staple to EA SPORTS and has a history that spans decades. It’s the most realistic digital football experience gaming has to offer. Whether you play as your favorite team, create your own player, or play head-to-head online, Madden brings next-level gameplay right to your fingertips. It is an immersive, simulation-based, authentic NFL interactive experience, empowering fans to play out their NFL fantasy of winning the Super Bowl (and much more) on consoles, PC and mobile devices
Note that they wrote "most realistic" , "simulation-based"
