How? I’m not sure I believe you’ve got a squad worth 5M and +6M coins with that many unopened packs and you’re NMS…

Not sure how that happened
True NMS but a serious grinder.
just sold off stuff waiting on GT's and another crash, but my squad is mostly upgraded NCATS from the grind.
2 million stashed
still a 98 ovr with strats and motivator and still gets it done in house rules :/

Been playing every day since the game came out, run a Cowboys TT so I don't chase top cards. Play the market some and the trends to grow the coin stack. It's easy but takes time.
I'm NMS but a lot of time spent lol. These days I play daily just to do my daily objectives and save the free pack, you get a free pack every day so it's easy to just save them and grow, plus solo battles gives you several free packs too. And I saved all my level packs and any promo packs we are given until there is something I want to try to pull.
Since the game has been stale in terms of cowboys cards released, it's been easy to not open anything and now wait until GTs to open up everything in the hopes I can pull one.
I've played every Madden since learning about MUT in Madden '17 and was never enticed to spend money since it's so easy to build a God Squad as long as you are patient on when you buy and pay attention enough to sell at opportune times. It's all cyclical so it makes it very easy to predict the trends and take advantage of the market. But as I said, it does take a lot of time which is why I don't advertise I'm NMS, because even if I haven't spent a penny on packs, I've spent some time every day to get my team where it is, no one way is better than the other, it's whatever works for you.

Alright, now I understand. I swear you should write a guide on how to secure the bag like you have obviously done. Would like to bug you for insight on what parts are so cyclical, I’ve seen some, but definitely not all.
I have an okay team for playing since February, but I have spent a lot of time getting to this point. First MUT I’ve played since ‘15 and it’ll be my last as I just cannot in good conscience spend this much time on a game.
Good on ya though, I’m impressed.

Thanks for the kind words, definitely happy to help however I can. I have a day job so I haven't taken the time to try to make a guide or even stream any of what I do.
At a high level, the cyclical parts can be broken up into times/days/weeks/months, basically you want to find the best times to buy/sell and hold. You don't want to go all in on one investment and you also want to ensure your coins are out on the field, i.e. don't just stack coins to stack, have a solid team you're happy with and then worry about the stack.
I'm in CST, so I like to sell overnight for me, I can set it and forget it, always use 8 hours and make my auction price based on how hot an item is. If it's selling several times in an hour and therefore in demand, I know I can set my price above the lowest and it will probably sell once those lower than me dry up. If it's only got a sale here and there in the day and not in high demand, have to decide if I want to be the lowest and guarantee a sale or if I want to price higher and hope it will sell, could take a couple of reposts on the AH to sell if I go the latter route.
For days of the week, I've found that usually prices start to go up Monday night through Wed night at which they tend to get their highest since people by for WL then they start to drop down Thur-Sun and go back up again. If you stay on the market you'll notice this trend and you'll also notice the outliers. I've never ever sold off my whole team for a promo, in fact, I hardly sell any of my main team players and they stay on the squad from day one, joys of having a theme team, this makes it easier to spend training with confidence and not waste coins trying to power down or time the market because most of the times you will lose if you try to sell and catch a crash. I instead take advantage of the market by knowing when I should sell cards I don't need for my team that are over training value.
Knowing, based on history, what promos could be coming each month, also lets you know how to hold cards and when to sell, i.e. at the beginning of the game, if it isn't a huge profit, I hold every card I pull, even silver and gold and wait for the team diamond explosion, then I'll decide what I should sell individually, what I should exchange, and what I should use for sets I care about.
GAP packs are amazing early on to build your stack, just tedious but if you can do that while building your team to an acceptable state, you can come out way ahead using those as well as winning in H2H, the payouts are good for the time spent once you are in higher divisions.
I am with you that this game isn't worth spending the money on, for me personally, no game is, I bought the game and that's all I can give anyone unless it's well built DLC that will add on hours of enjoyment, pulling packs won't do that for me but I understand those who would rather go that route to save on the time it takes to get a team without additional costs money wise.

True grinder, don‘t play the auction house, snipe, sell sets etc.
No TT, don’t play that often, usually 3-4 days a week. Started at Harvest in November.
Most people are boosted via strats.

Thanks, I hope the same, I'm at 60/50 cowboys so I have a lot of room for as many GTs as I can get. A QB is a must, wr too tall and hb vea and every crazy tall db is what I will target.

Nice lineup, how's Vita play for you as HB1? Also, DJ was one of my fave players all time. How's he doing so far at LOLB? You run 4-3 to get him on the field or sub him in?
I accidently clicked on yours and wrote a response to the other one. The 93 vita is still cracked this late in the season, only problem is he never breaks anything long but he is the most consistent getting 5 - 10 yards a carry. DJ is a nasty option at OLB, I run 335 wide and he plays perfect in contain and has a good enough power move to get sacks of the edge. He is essentially the swiss army knife of the defense
