All Snowflakes will turn into coins on Christmas, so yes you have to use them up by then

the event doesn’t end until jan so if there’s still line up restrictions or the rewards aren’t worth it i won’t be touching this mode post christmas

You can say that again, getting liek 3 coins per 1 Snowflake is even worse value than the actual packs. Incredible how awful this company is. They're even trying to scam us for Xmas. Tis the season, i guess.

what will happen to stocking stuffers after the 25th? will we be able to upgrade them using training, since snowflakes won't be available anymore?

Most likely you'll be able to use training to upgrade but we won't know for sure until then
