Quadruple NRTs this afternoon because I was lazy last week (TOTW Release #6, Season 2, Most Feared Release #1, and Legends Release #9; the NRT for today's AKA release will come out at a later time either today or tomorrow).
My thoughts on every new player release. From my brain, straight to the MUT.GG forums.
LTD:
QB Russell Wilson
A flashback to when Russ was actually cooking. Passing stats are fine (91 throw power, 88 short accuracy, 89 medium, 91 deep, 91 throw on run, 92 pass accuracy). Speed and agility stats are okay (86 speed, 86 accel, 89 agility, 85 awareness). 90 ball carrier vision is nice as well. But Lamar is still my QB1. I'm not gonna replace Lamar with this dink and dunk QB. Not even Fearless or Set Feet Lead will lead me away from LamaRB my beloved.
POTW:
TE Travis Kelce
I predict that he will be either better than Dave Casper (but not by much) or in between Casper and Antonio Gates. Statwise he looks great. 88 speed, 88 accel, 92 jump, 90 catching, 92 catch in traffic, 91 short route running, 90 medium, 87 deep, and 92 ball carrier vision. Red Zone Threat or TE Apprentice for 1 AP apiece? Yes please!
I know the original POTW was supposed to be Gabe Davis, but I honestly think Kelce is better since we've gotten so many wide receivers recently (and the player right below this one is also a wide receiver).
Champions:
WR Brandon Marshall - Offensive Champion
The 72360374th tall and heavy wide receiver in the past two weeks! Still very very good. 90 speed, 89 accel, 90 awareness, 92 jumping, 91 catching, 91 catch in traffic, 89 short route running, 90 medium, 91 deep, 91 ball carrier vision, 92 juke move, and 92 break tackle. Outside Apprentice for 1 AP and Red Zone Threat for 2 AP are also great.
CB Ty Law - Defensive Champion
The rookie that was told to shut up one week, the legend that told him to shut up the next! A bit short like Revis Island, so probably not gonna do as well against all the tall receivers coming out, but still pretty solid. 91 speed, 89 accel, 89 agility, 89 change of direction, 89 jump, 90 man coverage, 91 zone, 92 press, incredible stats as well. But still too short for my liking.
Heroes:
HB Austin Ekeler - Offensive Hero
Two touchdowns and only one yard short (hehehehe Titans and Seahawks fans) from 200 yards, Ekeler definitely deserves to get this card!
CB Cameron Dantzler - Defensive Hero
Solid for an 88 OVR and great for Vikings TTs. Also deserves a new card after he iced the game with that fumble.
Elites:
My boy Dorance Armstrong gets an upgrade, as does the Swiss Army Knife. Rhamondere Stevenson looks like he's gonna have a great season. I feel bad for Emmanuel Moseley, he was doing so well but now he won't play another snap this season.
