Are any of the packs in the store that are unlocked ever worth their price? Not talking about ones that cost actual money but the coin ones like the core elite packs at level 10. Or is it basically just more of a money grab

I'd say in 80% of the cases, the packs that can be purchased with coins are worth buying UNLESS they are from a promo that's more than one promo in the past. And by "worth" it, I mean you're likely to barely come out ahead (unless you pull an LTD/champion, which, odds-wise, ain't happening for most of us).

Generally I agree, but when you get 3 packs for the price of 1 in the Season Specials section you can generally turn a small profit with the chance of getting lucky so I still think those bargain coin packs are usually worth it. I bought all of them last season and so far this season and even when the cards were crap I generally still broke even.

Still not worth it. Breaking even is just getting lucky you didn't take a loss

I’ve made 200k-500k plus on every coin special pack in the season specials this year so obviously not Stating facts. Plus I’ve bought every pack from the season specials all the way till Season 4 so I think I know they’re worth every bit of coins and cash. Js.

It's insane that there is a most feared champion pack for 2800 pts....a 90 will be worth about 80k when we unlock that

Last year they had 3 AKA packs for the price of one. Opening it on a Monday with LTD's in packs is worth the gamble

NEVER ever ever buy coin packs, IMO. Same with yer Season Tickets, hold onto those throughout the season, it will give you a head start NEXT season. Perhaps upgrade a couple players to max.
However, there is one random exception i would draw your attention to -- as we progress through the season rewards, one of the very last tabs, I think you even posted it in the title "special" tab maybe? is where you can find a few of those pack offers. Use your best judgement, if it's 180k for three packs that have a chance to drop an 87 or something, probably going to be a waste of coins.
Broadly speaking, it's almost always better to save coins and simply purchase the player(s) you are after from the auction house. But understanding the MUT markets is an entirely separate beast. Good luck, most aspects of this game are pure money grab at this point. I don't liek it any more than you do, but that's the reality of things.
