Decided to sell everyone on my "god squad" to make a Packers theme team so i can just save up coins for a little and still be able to hold my own online. Tell me how Im playing way better on this Team even with the overall difference (Went from 85 to 81). I honestly don't understand it but I'm hype LOL.
Has this happened to anyone when switching to a lower overall team?
The stat boosts definitely help and sometimes having a lower rated team makes you focus more and play better. In FIFA I also play better with lower overall players because I have to focus more and play correctly, while if I have an OP/fast player it’s easy to get lazy and just spam through balls lol.
If you don’t get that reference, it’s like having Parham as your TE. Sometimes I notice that I get lazy on offense and just chuck it to Parham even if it’s a dumb play and I throw picks sometimes because of it, where if I had any other tight-end I wouldn’t have thrown it.
Another example is using Vick in previous maddens where people just sprint out of the pocket every play and do 180 throws, sometimes they got lucky but they’d also throw a lot of dumb interceptions. I realized I did that too and would switch to a less mobile QB where I was forced to play the right way and would do a lot better.
So yeah, it’s definitely easy to get lazy when using god squads. Using OP players are a crutch and can create bad habits, so when you switch to lower rated players you don’t have that anymore and have to play more correctly so you do better

Buying platinum elites for a TT is a good idea, safeguards your coins.

IMHO EA seriously nerfed both strategy cards and TT boosts this year. I run a 46/50 Chargers TT with 3 blue strategy cards and the CH strategy card. And most of my Charger players haven't seen blue overall boosts.
