It is incredibly hard to get the sets for Team diamonds done if your doing NMS like I am and I only have 400,000 coins that I want to use to get Christmas presents so if I got Matt forte I would probably lose all my coins and not be able to get anything good for about a month
Ive spent my share, but you guys are insane with the amount of money you spend on this game lol
To be fair your asking for the 95’s to be lower in price
we didn’t get 95’s until early February last year
so im happy that they are 5 mil because if they were like 1 mil, people who spend their credit card will have 95 overall teams and we’re not even in zero chill yet
Wild we live in a day and age where people complain that they WERENT able to drop an extra $100 on a videogame. Brother, I don't even wanna know how much you've spent on madden. This is sad.

Just wait until the 97's come out and 95's will be around 300k
I'm being sarcastic, but it's true.
EA wants you to spend your Christmas money on their, literally, worthless cards, just so that you can play against the other group of people who also spent their Christmas money on EA.
And by the way, you're also going to want those 97 at 5mil.

That will last for a few weeks until the 99's come out and you're really going to want them at 10mil.

Spending quite a bit of time on the Auction House. NMS would expect to spend a certain amount of time that way to keep up with Pay-to-Play users. With 95’s available as they are, maintaining competitive balance became much more time-consuming by an order of magnitude.
NMS has absolutely had their face spit on by EA.

Yep...NMS and haven't played since before TD dropped, other than doing dailies and logging off. I sold my entire team before TD deployed and have just sat on my coins. Maybe later on I'll be interested again but right now it's hard to stomach anything more than dailies.

Pretty much where I'm at. Not interested in being a punching bag.

At the end of the day, time is money, and how you choose to spend both is a personal decision.
For example, I could work a few extra hours this week and use that money to invest in the game, skipping some of the grind. Alternatively, I could stay home and grind for an equivalent amount of time. The key is comparing the value of each option based on your own priorities.
Personally, I’ve only spent real money (FIAT) on the Premium Season Pass. I made this choice to maximize the value of my time. If I’m grinding for two hours instead of working, I want those two hours to feel as rewarding as possible.
To put things into perspective, I’ve played over 200 hours of MUT so far. With a $30 investment in the Premium Pass, that comes out to about $0.15 per hour. While not all 200 hours were directly enhanced by the pass, it significantly reduced the time I needed to grind for rewards. For me, that small cost was worth saving countless additional hours of effort.
If you're playing for long stretches and earn somewhere around $15 per hour (the cost of the Premium Pass), investing in it might be a smarter use of your time. Of course, this assumes you have extra work hours available and value your time similarly—but it’s something worth considering.
I’m not judging anyone for how they choose to approach the game. There are valid benefits to both grinding and paying for advantages.
It’s important to remember that terms of service agreements clearly state that in-game currency has no real-world monetary value and that any purchases you make are licensed, not owned. In practical terms, this means every penny you spend on the game is an entertainment expense, not an investment. You won’t carry these purchases forward when MUT 26 releases, and there’s no financial return on them.
That said, not all spending is a "loss" if it brings you satisfaction. Just like dining out or going to the movies, the value lies in the enjoyment you get out of it. What matters is making choices that align with what makes you happy.
At the end of the day, whether you spend time grinding or money to skip the grind, it’s all about how you prefer to experience the game. Do what works best for you and leave it at that.

Yeah exactly...same for me...why would I invest in any cards right now, why would I play when my cards would get rekt, and the gameplay is glitchy and toxic as hell to begin with...starting to think I won't even get madden 26 next year because good lord, just when I thought EA couldn't get any worse they manage to set the bar even higher....

I don't accept the time-is-money argument for one primary reason: When I pre-ordered Madden 25 to play MUT 25, the following were not disclosed to me:
a) A Deluxe Edition-only Ultimate Preseason Field Pass that gave guys with points additional opportunity to give anabolic steroids to their lineup before release day
b) Premium Field Pass options to bust up NMS disadvantages even more
c) Two types of Team Diamonds, one available to the same Pay-to-Play crowd that has already been fouling up the earlier part of the year with cheap, cheesy exploits that allowed their teams to become more powerful Trophy Pack by Trophy Pack
I'd be lying if I tried to suggest I didn't believe this game wasn't Pay-to-Win back in August, but it wasn't until
AFTER I BOUGHT THE GAME
that EA pulled this nonsense.
So, yes, spend your money if it feels good. But just know that when you spend and you get matched up against an NMS player, it's not because we wanted to participate in a community scheme that separates users into different tiers of the food chain. We've been subjected to that against our will, don't appreciate it, and may quit MUT over it.
If the NMS users do bow out, you guys with Premium Passes aren't going to get easy wins, and will take tough matchups at the hands of people who have more disposable income and more time to play MUT than you do, and it will be your turn to experience what we've suffered during the past three months.
Hey, I totally get where you're coming from, and honestly, I agree with a lot of what you’re saying.
The lack of transparency around the Deluxe and Premium passes, and the way certain features give players with money an early or unfair advantage—it’s hard not to feel like it’s rigged against players who want to grind their way through the game without spending extra cash.
I do not play H2H, I tried to complete the Most Feared challenge of winning 5 games and I failed. I could only manage 3 wins and my final loss was to a little kid (I heard his voice through the HS). I felt the exact same way when I tried to play H2H and I'm matched with a team who had all the players released the day before.
The system can make it feel like the gap between NMS and Pay-to-Play is just getting wider, and it’s tough not to feel like we're in different "tiers" of the community, like you said.
The majority of my lineup is made up on BND players and completing sets. I worked hard for what I got and Season Pass is weak, I actually made post about it when S3 ended.
I think your point about EA’s monetization schemes really resonated with me—those changes that happen after the purchase, like you mentioned, make it feel like we were never given the full picture upfront. And yeah, it definitely feels like the whole situation just creates a divide between players, which is really disheartening when you want to just enjoy the game and compete on a more level playing field.
I just wanted to let you know I hear you, and I feel that same frustration. I think you’ve brought up some really valid points about the direction of the game and how it’s affecting the experience for a lot of players.
If you're on PC I'd love to play a game :)
