We have multiple Merlin Olson & Jim Taylor cards but these guys can’t get one?

Again I’m new to MUT this year, most of my online gaming has been on 2K or just match-ups on Madden. Is that an option to play stock/current rosters against friends & also why do stars like that not get a card and someone you have to google like Jim Taylor does?

A lot more legends do get cards by the end of the year, but pretty much all the ones we don’t get don’t have licensing with EA to use their namesake.

Yeah the old school staples of Rod and Blount hit the fan the last couple years. At least we got Rod back this year. Missing the boom crew of NTL, Rod, and Blount in the old days.

Sometimes ea doesn’t have the rights to specific players. They cannot make any nfl player they want without the permisson of the NFLPA I think

All current players are in the NFLPA which automatically gives their rights to EA. Retired players aren’t in any association so they don’t automatically give their rights which is why we don’t get some.
