Thinking about switching to a Slinger 1 QB.

I'm starting to run a Singleback Deuce Close offense to better utilize James Cook on outside runs, but I also want to develop my passing offense out of this formation. After being absolutely cooked by Matt Stafford in H2H, I think I need a Slinger 1 QB. This comes from the fact that Tebow has been overthrowing so many simple passes (primarily corner routes to Antonio Gates) and I no longer utilize his running ability as I did in the past. 

So what's a good Slinger 1 QB for about 300k? I can't afford Stafford and don't have many coins, so it would have to be the direct funds from selling Tebow. Is Joe Montana good enough, or is it worth the extra coins for John Elway?

Full disclosure I haven't tried either of them. But in my opinion, Elway and Montana have similar enough ratings that I'd save the coins and go for Montana.

Elway gets the job done short,med and deep ball and they finally gave him decent speed .Dashing deadeye is a must for deep ball though.GS is obviously not necessary.

Did they fix the long ball for S1 Qbs so its not slow as shit?

I don't think so I was playing with Rodgers earlier and it definitely seems like his deep ball was noticeably slower than Tebow's and that's with Gunslinger

have u tried long range deadeye on tim tebow? and take off GS?

Release is not as fast for deep balls like s3 but for some reason with DD it doesnt hang up in the air at least for me.

No, I haven't. He's not really missing deep balls, he just seems to not be able to throw a corner route on the right side of the field. It might be because he's a lefty

I went from Aaron Rodgers back to Joe Montana, because i was sick of feeling liek a traitor on 49ers TT, plus new motivator bonuses are pretty rad/huge.  Elway's price has been dropping quickly, but my personal preference from an incredibly bias / lifelong 49ers fanboi is fairly obvious here.  I'm looking forward to Joe Cool's Golden Ticket if/when i'm able to finally afford that.

James Cook has been pretty incredible for me, used him to achieve the Lester Hayes grind, with always-on Frieghttrain + fully boosted (3/3 Balanced + 3/3 Power Run), he was absolutely nuts and i didn't miss Flash one bit.  I'm throwing a lot more short and mid passes, so despite my preference for the buttery smooth Slinger 3 deep release, that Slinger 1 has worked out nicely for me, but 3AP for QB is a fairly steep investment, which makes the options with dual 0AP ability buckets the obvious choice, but i believe both Elway and Montana should be completely viable.  If you've got a theme team, which i highly recommend you do, don't sleep on the motivator bonuses, they're quite substantial now.  That alone makes Elway the obvious choice, as he gets all 32 team chems, so he'll fit on basically any roster.

I'll see which one I can get cheaper, Montana or Elway. I barely ever throw deep anymore because everyone has exclusively DRKO or DOZKO, so I think a short passing game will work well. And I almost always use Gunslinger so I don't think the deep passes will bother me that much when I do make them.

it's (IMO) a noticeable difference with that deep release, even with Gunslinger, it takes a bit to get the ball out and thrown way downfield... but shouldn't take long to adjust, especially if you're more liek me and focus primarily on the short and mid passing game, you'll be as thrilled with the change as i was.  I'm quickly coming around on this Slinger 1 stuff... especially hitting Kittle and Dwight Clark streaking across the middle of the field or streaking towards the sidelines.  There's been a massive amount of all out blitz meta on defense this year, or so it seems -- Dollar Spinner, DB Fire 2, etc. so getting the ball out quick has become absolutely crucial in my somewhat limited experience.

I've debated living dangerously and trying to run without Fearless, but not sure i can live without Gunslinger at this stage in the game, although i did briefly dabble playing without it for a brief period, i think while i was still using Tebow or something, it was a while back.  Good luck, i hope you'll find it a positive adjustment.

Def Stanford or arid, you need to be using the quad stack for 2 ap maximum.
