The reality to this entire conversation is that the team at EA has a daily KPI report that they look at, and the main metrics that they track and respond to are likely: daily active users (DAUs), game purchases, and total $$s spent within the game. They have their goals against those metrics - and others - and if they are hitting those goals, they are happy. And if they are not, they will make adjustments so that they can hit the goals.
Our whining and complaining about things is fun for the forums, but EA almost certainly doesn't care.. unless all the whining is actually leading to less game play. Which I seriously doubt it does.
