This has been said b4 but it's crazy that set masters sell for more than LTDs

EA really is pushing it with how they created these sets. These are very expensive to do......so much so that some a lot of the LTDs are less...look at Zack Martin....selling at 200K less than the set masters.....I don't know about you, but that's insane.

I understand the economics behind it but again, EA has got to make the sets cheaper to do.....and I am someone who has a lot of coins but I just don't think it's fair or right to do it this way. The AKA sets are a perfect example.  For Irvin or Dawkins you need 5 90 OVRs . Those are exceedingly hard to pull. Even if you DO spend $$$ on the game, the packes/bundles don't have 90 toppers...it's 89+. If you use a  one time training option it's the same. 

I don't remember it ever being this expensive to complete sets in MUT.

Why do they HAVE to make it cheaper to do? Their goal is to suck as many coins out as possible. 

And its expensive when theres so much free coins being thrown around. Its super easy to make coins this year and the plat bundles/packs.

They don't have to, I just have never seen set masters cost this much - for example- a Harvest 90 takes 3 88's. ....I could see 2 88's and a random 85 or 86 .

They only released Platinum bundles to stop people from buying coins from 3rd party sellers. They figure if people are gonna buy coins, may as well do it from them. Then they suck those coins back out of the market. I get it. I get the business model. And listen, you know that it's not really about me or what cards are obtainable for me. It is more about the community and the feedback I see on other social media such as reddit, twitter, discord, etc.....there are a lot of unhappy people with how expensive these sets are. I've been in the Madden community since the first John Madden football game and I do want people to be happy because I love this game and I love the community.

While I agree it’s not difficult to make coins, I also believe it would probably be more sustainable for player count and just more fun to play if master cards were in the 400-500k range, have ltd’s In the 600-800k range and then when reduxes become available make them plentiful enough that the redux isn’t only 50k cheaper than the LTD

It really is more about the lower level sets driving the larger set peices.  5 90s to make a 93 is just stupid.  However, look at the cost of making the harvest 88s and 84 if you are just using sets.  This is what keeps the price of these sky high.  Pull rates are also trash but if sets delivered more value, Masters would not be so expensive.

yeah i packed ltd zack matins and sold him for 615k - set rg3 was doing 710-20k at the time

I agree. I actually did 50 Harvest rerolls in a row last night. I pulled ONE 88, and 3 84's. Everything else was an 80. And packs for 65K to get likely 2 84s and an 80 harvest player. And also, like you wrote, 5 90's to make a 93. I remember when (even last yr I think) the training value of the cards going into the set was just about the same as the training value of the set card. Maybe just  a little bit more. Now it's insane. It costs 50,000 worth of training to build a card that QS for 33,000.

When redux cards were introduced into Madden (I dunno if it was M21 or 22), I would quicksell my LTDs and pick up the redux cards because they were well below the QS price. Now half the reduces are still more than the QS price of the LTDs. That's just wrong. It's a very poor economic model. Redux cards should be more plentiful and therefore lower in price.

Yeah I got out at a little less, about 575K. And all of the set masters were more expensive

i assume part of it is ltd has cowboy chem only -= and other palyers have  legends chem
