Yeah I agree. It set out to be a "sim" but sadly it has become almost as arcade as NFL Street was

I can see their place in the game. I don't necessarily want any of my team except for the Donald Penn so I can have a Packers chemistry full back. But I like the higher level for these cards. My suggestion which would be to have them be able to have secondary positions as their regular position. Take Dbahk from the Monday mix up this week. He's never going to get a higher card than that this year. But I sure would like to be able to convert them to a left tackle I just needed position with that kind of a rating

That’s the issue because it’s trying to be. To be honest madden is just trash lol MUT could be so much cooler but it’s a money grab and OOP players are mostly only important to us if they are tall and fast for the most part. No one really cares what name is on the card. I hate it. the cards should simulate the players it represents but they rarely do. It’s random stats with a name attached.

Yup. Similar results age wise on the state of maddens absolute lack of defense (and football in general these days) and all the goofy over the top celebrations and such id bet.

What do you call it then when we put RBs at QB, WR at FS, OT at RE, QB at LOLB and CB at WR? last year I ran kickers at SS. Not to mention DEs and some Offensive lineman are as fast as every skill position player. Then there is house rules, and dads vs kids challenges, the MF strats that make your players 9 feet tall... It's an arcade mode
I think it kinda keeps the game fresh rn but it does kinda get ridiculous near the end so thats why I think people get mad

Dont put the best NFL game down to MUT level!

Thats literally any card out there though.

That game was awesome man.I wish they still made it. I'd play that over Madden any day
Love em. Always make an OOP TT every year.
Honestly not really a fan of this program and the way it's expanded. I get we are playing a sim football game and it's obviously not even really that with all the exploits. But Why do we need like 40 oop players. Playing against a team that has 5 qb, rb, te, wr on defense just seems weird. Takes me out of it a bit. I get that the game will progress past the program, but it will be a bit of a lackluster month for me. Much rather prefer legends, Most Feared, playoff promos. Generally, I drop out around Feb/March, but I think I'm gonna hang in this year just to see what the end of the year promos are like, especially since they are progressing the OVR's slower this year. Anyway, just my 2 cents, not mad at it, just not a huge fan.

I don't mind some OOP cards. But some should have never been a thing. It was maddening playing anyone that was just spamming HB Dive with HB Daniel Faalele last year, or a certain 6'8 MLB.
Things like Deion Sanders WR, Megatron/Julio Jones FS, Ronnie Brown QB, and Nick Foles WR, i dont mind because they technically played those positions at least once.
There also have been some OOP cards I've wanted to be put in the game before like a QB Julian Edelman, QB Trey Burton, MLB Pat McAfee (thats never gonna happen).
Idk how we don’t have a punter Pat McAfee with like 85 speed and 90 hit power. Ea must not have his rights.

They don't he refuses to give ea his rights and hasn't been in the game since he retired
