Thoughts on the Patch/Season 2

Worst patch ever, did not fix anything

stem glitch is still rampant and even easier to do

nerfed the spin move to where its not even useable, it dropped the value of cj2k by almost 300k.  There is now zero viable ball carrier moves as the juke is garbage

zones are still broken

tackle over glitch is still alive

as far as season 2 goes,  big L

the players dont get all 32 team chems

still no way to get them to 89 ovr, store only has an 88 ovr upgrade via tickets

anyways just my rant, welcome to my ted talk.  I think I will be playing more cfb25 until the next patch that hopefully fixes the current issues

For my lineup at present, Brian Burns was the only value-added component from Season Pass 2, at least until I can earn enough tokens to make the WR, CB, LT, or QB (Kirk Cousins, since I’m a pocket passer) relevant.

Since the Solo Battles were down last night, it wasn’t a very good launch. I haven’t had time to explore the patch’s effect on the game.

I was surprised at how often I was able to contain CJ2K, only to have my opponent score in just two or three plays once they Plan B to the same dumb hot-route combos that have stupefied Madden AI’s coverage logic for years.

One thing I wonder about is if EA even tests their game out. It took like 30 minutes for players to find a new way to do the stem glitch 😆. Anyways im not going to hate on EA much cause I buy the game every year and know what little they care and how incompetent they seem to be. One thing I will say is that Madden is basically all about adapting and overcoming. Defense sucks for everyone and anyone can do the stem route glitch so we are all on the same level playing field

stem glitching is still a thing just as it is in CFB25, itll get patched.

4-3 over being nerfed is great, mid blitz doesnt come in as fast which is great

Spinning on conservative needed to be gone, you could spin with no punishment.

The toned down spin is a bummer tho when on balanced, even tho no nfl player is spinning 4 dudes all from different angles and ending up 5 yards away after the spin.

ive noticed way less people cheesing rn because the 4 man disengage is gone.

we got switch stick delay which is awesome when youre dealing with quick hikers.

we got revamped passing, even tho idk if i like it yet.

zones are still booty but my team is playing significantly better when playing deep or over the middle, corners and short routes still eat me alive tho.

o-line is still shotty.

fumbling needs to be increased, theres no reason i got cmc eating 4 hitsticks back to back to back and he aint giving up the ball

Spinning on conservative definitely needed to be patched, they should’ve left it alone on balanced.  Being able to spin is fine but it should also come with consequences such as being hit sticked and fumbling, but now we cant spin at all

i stopped playing online h2h when he first dropped cause once he spinned past the  pursuit my team wasnt catching lol

sold my team and went to cut for now, game is not fun atm

actually did the same, running a bnd squad right now, will still grind mut champs and gauntlet  for the rewards but not being able to do open field moves is just not fun, there is also still zero defense.  complain all you want about mid blitz but at least it got people off the field and was able to combat the stem routes.
