I personally love this new mode, here a few tips that might help you out.
1. Know YOUR playbooks, we all have our favorite formations have our own way to play have this handy to know which playbooks/coaches to select. https://huddle.gg/24/playbooks/?
2. Do not draft OL, there is no need, and you are wasting an opportunity elsewhere to have better matchups.
3. Draft for Speed. Speed is king, we all know this, exploit the matchups where you have a speedy WR, TE or RB against a 88. Look at where his best guys are lined up on defense and stay away from them. There aren't 99's everywhere like in seasons and champs games.
4. Before you play one snap on Def, go to coach adjustments and change to align your defensive backs based on ratings, seems like the best CBs always default to slot and outside guys get burned too easy if you don't.
5. Personal opinion, 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR is all you need put as much of the draft towards defense as you can and you won't be sorry. Doesn't always work out that you even have an opportunity to have a RB. That is part of the fun of the draft part though figuring out how to put a winning team out there and trying some different cards out.
6. Get a fast DE or LB, blitzing can be extra effective off the edge when there is no abilities on slow Tackles.
7. Don't be afraid to run up the middle, haven't been able to do that in a while with so much inside stuff in every other mode, but here chances are high that DT is just a base 88 and not great.
