My D-Line is Donald (RE), Phillips (DT2/rush RE1), Jones (DT1) and Karlaftis (LE and rush LE1) with Sapp as rush DT1. I am able to judge Donald's contributions vs. Sapp, Karlaftis and Phillips. Donald is not even visible when compared to the X-Factor three. I agree with Martyr.

A lot of ratings don't matter once you hit the threshhold. A 99 rating will play the same as a 90.

I just looked at the player info for him again.
If your plan is to make him DT rather than DE.......there are write-ups about that.
"No idea why there’s not an DT secondary position". He becomes a 90 OVR if you use him as DT.
Check out the player tab!

Do you understand what secondary position means in Madden?
Martyr1968 said:Even with no chem boosts (which again, make a card better than another so why even evaluate it without those chems?????) Those cards are better because of X factors and abilities
You cannot evaluate a card in Madsen now without factoring in 1) Team/promo chems, 2) abilities 3) X factors 4).AP disounts
In your post your basically saying OVR is the best measure of a carrd (higher cards generally have better ratings) but that's absolutely not the case anymore
Sad but true. It’s no longer about football. You have to buy all the BS too in order to stay competitive.

Hasn't been about football in some time. EA catering to a different base than real football lovers these days sadly

I do. That was a quote written by someone else.
Purex37 was thinking of using him as a DT.

Not sure that you do....
It means that the chems on the card will add to the lineup chems at that secondary position. You can use Donald at DT regardless of what his OVR is there. That 90 OVR at DT means absolutely nothing
Everyone thinks about using Donald at DT, especially those of us who have played this game for years
No Colossus on Old Gen so in our outdated world Karlaftis with UF wasn't living up to expectations on the 70/70 SB. He gets caught up on blocks too much Sapp though very much is worth it with UF, point being on old gen the d end debate hasn’t been settled yet. I’m rolling with Aaron Donald on one end and Too Tall on the Other I dismantled the SB TT I’ll let y’all know what I see for those who are still rocking outdated style.
Martyr1968 said:A) he gets no juiced up abilities or X factors
B) Karlaftis with Colossus is far better, there are several lithe edge rushers that are better
C) On the inside Sapp and Harrison are far better
Karlaftis is a LE and Donald is RE, so you missed the point of this question lol
Donald on the edge is lethal with edge threat elite active. The base 95 speed is very noticeable. If you pair Donald with Karlaftis on the opposite side with Colossus activate, your opponent will not be able to roll out of the pocket.
