Trying to use AP wisely

Backfield master on McCaffrey? Or Route Technician on Steve Smith Sr? I already run HRM on my QB so I'm using Backfield Master for the improved catching. And is Deep Out Elite even worth using?

If Steve Smith Sr is playing as your slot wr then put short in elite on him and it will light up almost as much as route tech.If he is not playing in the slot, then put route tech on him.

I wouldn’t use Backfield Master on McCaffrey just for the catching. I rarely have HB’s drop catches and I don’t even use good receiving backs.

Yes, Deep Out Elite is one of the best abilities for WR’s.

Yeah, unfortunately, RB abilities just suck this year unless theyre throwing abilites.

CMC catching is good enough you should not need BM.  As another said it depends on how you use Smith.  If he is your slot put short in on him for O AP.  I only use route tech on Moss because I have him all over the field on different routes.  AP really should go to your QB first, Then WRs, then it depends on what your scheme is and what discounts you get.  My AP set up is 1 AP and 2Ap edge protector on my OTs.  Center has 1 AP ID, Rodgers with 4 AP for SFL and HRM, Barry with Evasive 0 Ap and HJS for 1 AP, Moss DO for 0 AP and 3 AP for route tech. Chubb has Goal line back for O AP.  If I had SMith or Kupp I would for sure be running short in on them for 0 AP.  Im not even sure edge protector is worth it, but if you run up against edge threat, it is an ability that atleast works.  Identifier not necessary if you only play CPU but I like it for H2h, it just helps make adjustments that much quicker.

Appreciate the breakdown. Im running fearless on Rodgers but I'm gonna try your take. And move those 4AP to Edge Protector on my RT as well and Route Technician on Moss.

Thanks! I've been using Smith lately and Im feeling like Hill was better at the slot. Maybe I just need to get better at using him.
