I strongly belive a 50/50 TT is the best way to get a good team in madden. With that being said I chose the vikings TT since I am a huge vikes fan. I have only done a TT this year and last year so im not tired of the players yet but as the years go on i could see my slef switching teams.

I ran a Falcons TT until just after blitz. Even with the boosts, the height at DB, and lack of abilities at WR made it hard to win. That and they dont have good OL/DL.
I ran 50/50 and it was easy to pass when the 92/93s dropped and i had 93 Julio/Hester with 92 Roddy/Pitts, but with them outdated, and all the influx of 94/95, ATL lagged behind. 1 of the 3 or 4 89 ovr TT left.
Switched to a 40/40 legends to compete but its not as enjoyable.
Outside of Vick, CP, Dickerson and Tony G, they really dont have much going for them, sadly

Currently using a Legends team strictly because legends are always my favorite cards to use every year in Madden.
I do plan on switching to a Cowboys theme team once they get a few more positions upgraded as I don't want to use fillers on a true theme team.
