UL Julius Peppers & Joe Klecko

Just sharing my experience for anyone thinking about buying these guys.

TLDR Klecko is a beast, Peppers isn’t worth the coins as a pass rusher. 

I bought Peppers yesterday and built Joe Klecko. Tried them out last night in some H2H and Champs games.

DT1/RDT1 Joe Klecko 2AP (Colossus, Run Stuffer, DoN)

So far Joe has been the most impactful d-lineman I’ve used in this game. Sack machine and sheds so fast on inside runs. My last game he had 6 sacks, 11 total sacks for the team (Yes the o-line I faced had abilities on every player).

LE1/RRE Julius Peppers 1AP (Unstoppable Force, Run Stuffer, Lurk Artist, Flat Zone KO)

Good card overall but not as impactful as a pass rusher. Through 10 games he had 2 sacks and 7 TFL’s. I’m glad I tried him but he wasn’t worth the coins for me.

For reference I was using mostly 4-5 pass rushers with a little bit of Dollar at times. Peppers, Klecko, Randle, and Aaron Donald were always on the field except in Dollar. JJ Watt and Micah Parsons were also used for some plays. Peppers production felt similar to Watt. Aaron Donald and John Randle made way more plays than Peppers.

joes a beast still have him.. peppers i sold as well... not even close to worth the price tag.  watt is just as good

I was lucky enough to select Joe as my free UL from the comp pass. He has honestly been the best addition to my squad out of all the UL's so far.

I have so much extra ap on defense i tossed 2/0 on peppers.

He’s been the best UL so far for me as well. I’m holding out on the BND pack until we get to the end of UL’s but if coins were really tight he‘d be an excellent choice.

For me, I had been utilizing Phillips with colossus and IS for 2 ap, to get that same stack plus avalanche and be able to put the x-factor somewhere else was just a no brainer for my scheme. I know this could be a jinx, but I doubt there is going to be another DT who gets that same stack this year. Time will tell though.

So UL Klecko's rather lighter weight (265lb's) doesn't impede his performance???...I compared him with both A.Donald & J.Randle & he's 30lb's+ lighter than both & his agility (-10) / COD (-12) / FMV (-11) & SPD (-6) just vs Randle seem rough...Any thoughts, Thanks...

I fully expected Klecko to struggle in the middle because of his weight and also noticed the other attributes you pointed out. I’ve had Randle since the day he dropped and I can say without an ounce of doubt that Joe Klecko has been 10X better than Randle.

Maybe it’s his ability combination? I really don‘t know why he‘s so good but he is.

The pack actually isn’t BND if I’m remembering correctly. Also, you could make his 97 twice with 16 tokens each and still have enough for that, then make him for 160k after buying 2 96s

He probably means the Comp pass 99 UL which is BND.  However, I will have enough tokens to get my 2nd full UL next week, I may use this method though.  Thank you.

I still have Phillips and recently added Randle from the BND field pass lvl 26. I'll probably never change. They handle the middle really well.
