Unable to equip abilities on SB J. Reid or combine N.Wiggins

It lets me put the abilities on using training points but won't let me activate either player .

Had the same issue with Madabeast. You need to remove the higher rated players’ abilities, activate the lower rated players’ abilities, then add the higher rated players’ abilities back and activate them.

You must have like 13 players with abilities.

Thanks . After about an hour and two attempts at it it seems to work but a few players have active abilities but not showing on the activation list menu .. I emailed ea help but hah.

Had this same issue.. After spending over a hour trying to figure it out came up with this conclusion. 

You can only have 11 players on defense  with active abilities. Offense seems to be different as I have 13 players with abilities.
