this post definitely won’t spark any disagreements🤨

Were in the age of meta in video games. You cant get around it and it will always there. If youre not playing meta youre basically wasting your time in any video game and people will make fun or question you.Â
Mut has two levels. Pay to play and freebie. But everyone tries as best as possible to be meta without paying. So when we get dudes who wont start except for pure TT filler or abilities that are dog shit, then its a waste. TB is just a pure TT filler. Even players starting out wont use these guys unless somehow they really lack coins or something weird.
it’s only like that because people are desperate and choose to make it that way! also because the game is extremely poorly made, and the gameplay development team shouldn’t have jobs in the industry, especially the lead developer.

I shouldnt have to pay to make my players catch, run routes, or play defense, Ea is lazy and they try to use abilites to fix their game instead it breaks the game even more. These crap abilities are unbalanced and make you play a certain way(the meta) and if not its GGs....Gameplay is bad and in each of my 5 yrs of MUT content has gotten worse.....use to be able to sell all cards from solos, lvl rewards, etc. then turned to nat, now trash bnd.....rookie premiers use to upgrade now they are qs or sold for a low price (instead of the millions invested in them)......actual coin rewards, actual packs, and coin qs existed, salary cap was great, mut draft was great, i could go on and on. This game has fell off and EA doenst care because they are swimming in cash
I agree with everything you said! my whole point is that the MUT content team, who pick the players and design the cards are doing a way better job than people give them credit for. they have to do a lot of damage control because of exactly what you said, the gameplay is awful and the way the game is designed suck.Â
my point isn’t that things are good, it’s just that the MUT content team gets more hate than they should, cause all the issues start with Clint and his gameplay team.
Crab5 said:First, I want to start out by saying there are many valid complaints to have about the state of Madden as a whole, and especially Madden 23; that being said the MUT community as a whole complains about literally every single thing in the game when not every single thing in the game is an issue.
my emphasis today is on the MUT content, every single new release 85% of the comments are complaints. whether it’s just a player we don’t like, or maybe it’s a player who happens to get a theme team chem for a team we think has to many players already (which is unavoidable), or maybe our favorite player doesn’t get the ability discounts we wanted, whatever it may be, tons and tons of complaints about content. I think we’ve been absolutely spoiled with content this year, there so many new fun players in the game from all different eras, and so many options to pick for each position it’s not even funny! do people tend to still pick the same player? sure, but that’s our choice, there’s still tons of cool options this year at almost every position! even lesser know ones like the fullbacks. I personally think the content team has done an amazing job with most the players and programs and the game has one of the most diverse MUT selections ever. I also don’t think it should go unnoticed that the MUT team puts discounted abilities on the players to specially to try and help fix the real issue in MUT, which is the gameplay team. the gameplay is rancid, boring, and rigged and all complaints should be directed at the gameplay team before anything else. if the gameplay was good I guarantee everyone would love the content too. that is all.
I agree 1000% brother

It goes back to Meta only players. People only want best of the best. Its why Youtube ruined video games (mostly online games but I digress)Â
They cant just always release meta stuff. They have to put fillers and shit in for sets and such. But people just want meta every card, every release.
I think The content team did an awesome job this year and last year. Its just the fact like them taking a month to send out house rules GG rewards is NUTS. I Love Mut this year but its when they drop a insane card that everybody loves and then you use them and they just don´t play that good because of the gameplay team. For example you just got the new D.K and your excited to use him. You load in and then the guy your playing against starts Man blitzing you. You have hopes up for this new player and they just shit the bed because of a glitch

I know exactly what you mean, one of your favorite players gets a great card and you wanna have fun, but it’s impossible to have fun cause the game is so poorly made and people exploit it.

Idk man, not everything is about "being meta". I sure as hell am not I just go out and buy the cards that I have fun playing with, but idk everyone has their own way of playing.
I do agree that EA has been good with communication lately

To a point... Do you one 1 AP EP? Do you use a high release qb? Do you try to use as many 0/1 AP points as possible? All that is considered meta. Its not just having the best cards. Its not like youre out here running with like all these bad cards and random ass abilities on everyone.

I think the point is, people who aren’t desperate don’t pick players strictly off those qualifiers.

i think the misconception of it is is that they did a lot of wrong firing and bad hiring behind  doors. seeing farls again (which is a shock in my book because i thought he got fired last year) along with the NBA LIVE GUY (sean graddy and his basketball music selection having self) showed that stuff is just not getting done too many moving parts in EA and too many first year occupatents and people in  different positions knowing nothing about coding or functioning a football game in a band-aid  driven like schedule.Â
just hangouts with cordial people with a smile and a resume.....
Welp on to Chivalry 2
