I think what a lot of people fail to realize is that your eyeballs and ATTENTION are also a valuable currency. Perhaps THE most valuable currency in the entire world. This is why things can never improve, because the Madden community will remain divided, arguing with one another over which part of the player base is to blame. This is no different than the nonsensical political machine. We're all busy fighting (red versus blue, left versus right) or whatever, meanwhile, EA is laughing all the way to the bank.
Every hour you spend in front of this game, EA is harvesting and analyzing (and probably reselling) your user data. Please stop pointing the finger at pay pigs. Yes, the game is designed and geared for the small (1%) of whales, content creators, streamers, degenerate gambling addicts, etc. but every single one of us dropped at least a $50-100 to get into Madden 25. EA has figured out how to game every step of the way. They're also grifting their advertisers, such as Chunky or Lexus or whoever was dumb enough to believe the engagement numbers that EA's marketing team surely has put together. The company is literally paying us (through "free" MCS cards) to idle in their Twitch streams, because that's how they can demand more money (for the eyeballs/attention) from said advertisers.
Yes, EA is a problem. Yes, pay to win game mechanics are absolute bullshit and have absolutely no place in an online, H2H competitive game. Sell us classic uniform packs, cosmetics, whatever... until we can all agree on these simple basic facts, there's no hope of anything improving. Hell, if you can get even ten people in a forum thread to agree on the actual problems, I'd be surprised. We can't even get a certain subset of people to believe that the world is round. Good luck with anything slightly more complex or nuanced. Oof.
PLEASE stop pretending you're not part of the Madden community that continues to support this bad game and this awful company. We're all part of the problem, every single one of us... but ultimately it's not our fault. EA is to blame, simple as that. NOT the player base, we're simply responding to the buggy ass, inconsistent mess / madness that is M25.
