SIE/SOE on WR1/2/3, though I may try using S-O-M for my WR3/SLWR

How comes you run short out on all 3 receivers, what O you running??
combination of short-in, route tech, red zone threat and slot-o-matic. I don't use any other abilities on wr. I don't know if any if any others are effective. slot-o-matic does seem to be the most effective to me shortly followed by short in

probably runs verticals a lot.

Well, Moss has it mainly for the usual purpose to help beat press.
Honestly, Collin Johnson and Kupp mostly have it because they can get it for free.
Would you recommend grab n go on Kupp instead? I just thought short in and slot o matic would be redundant and I wouldn't use deep in elite that much.
My offense is mostly short to intermediate passes with the occasional deep shots. I probably should run the ball more if I'm honest about my weaknesses as a player
Cooper Kupp: SIE/SOE
Randy Moss: DOE/RT
Calvin Johnson: SIE
All I’m gonna say is if you’re not using Calvin’s passive max security ability, you’re missing out. Beats press just like SOE and virtually guarantees a catch in single coverage when you secure catch, even against KOs. It even works on high balls.
Can’t tell you how many times I’ll just laser a high ball to Calvin over the middle of the field and he comes down with it more often than not.

Short in and short out are probably the 2 best abilities for receivers, Slot-O and route tech are both good also depending on the O you run, Short out will help beat press also, just with the meta being gun tight and gun bunch most people prioritise short in as it works inside the numbers but if you run a spread or not a tight formation then short out is good or route tech. Deep out elite isnt bad at all, just the other ones serve better all round. if it’s works stay with it though of course, not gonna tell you how to play but defo worth a try even if it’s in the practice

Interesting, it's been a while since i've used this (Max Security) ability -- have 1AP "extra" that i can use for wiggle room, i had been investing it in Route Tech on Demaryius to go along with his free SIE, but might check out the Calvin ability, despite recently moving him to WR3. Quick summary of WR abilities:
- WR1 (Slot1) Demaryius Thomas - SIE (0AP) + RT (1AP) primary Slot receiver
- WR2 Collin Johnson - SIE + SOE (0AP)
- WR3 Calvin Johnson - SOE (0AP)
- WR4 (Slot2) Dwight Clark - SIE (0AP)
- TE1 George Kittle - SIE (0AP)
- TE2 Gronk - SIE (0AP), although i quite often run 1AP Vanguard
- TE3 Vernon Davis - SIE (0AP)
I'll potentially remove RT from my Slot receiver (Demaryius) so i can test out Max Security again, i've waffled and wanted to use Gronk's Vanguard which was an absolute must-have for most of my MUT career, but i prefer having Kittle as my TE1, because bang bang Niner gang. Collin Johnson is far and away the best receiver i've used this year, he's what i had hoped Jerry Rice would be, but bigger, faster, stronger. Not gonna make the Cooper Kupp grind, which is unfortunate, but i just don't have it in me this cycle.

I’d take RT off Demaryius since it’s not really needed if he’s in the slot, and then swap SOE for SIE on Calvin and add passive max security for 1 AP. I have him as my #2 receiver but my 2nd slot guy so he plays inside on some formations and outside on others. He easily has the surest hands on my team with that ability and it’s great to use on streaks when he gets a step. Just make sure to secure catch.
I‘m a Pats TT guy so Vanguard Gronk is a no brainer for me, such a fun ability to watch in game and Kittle was my second TE for a while too with honorary linemen. Can’t go wrong with either!

I understand all that. I'm just wondering why you questioned soe on all 3 receivers if you agree it's good.
