First madden I played was on the Atari 5200 I first played mut on Madden 10 and last played on 17 then took a break and started back up with 22.

Madden since 93 and MUT since 19....and MUT has been getting worse each yr

My first Madden was way back in 1992 or 93 for the super nes. I know they didnt have real teams or real players and at that time Tecmo Superbowl was the top football game. Madden 94 was the first one I owned, they had real teams but only player numbers. It wasnt until madden 95 that they had real players and madden 98 had the first franchise mode which was 15 years. I bought madden on day 1 every year up to madden 10 since madden 95. I didnt play maddens 10,11,12 and 13 cause I stopped playing video games. It wasn't until valentines day 2014 that my wife got me madden25 and I didnt even know what mut was cause I was a franchise guy and wanted to try regular h2h. After having the game for a week I decided to try out this mut mode and I was instantly hooked. The real time auction house I thought was so cool. I had to quit maddens 18 and 19 cause I was literally addicted to mut amd started playing Friday the 13th game which is amazing. I came back for madden 20 with a new outlook and determined to improve at the game and not spend as much money on mut and here I am.
