I’m using Derwin James and Adrian Wilson at linebacker and think it would be cool for them to both have ults but not sure what the best one is for them. I was thinking maybe Avalanche?
X factors aren’t great on SUB LBs but if you were to choose one I would do universal coverage or avalanche. It’s better to have Universal Coverage on safeties and corners or to run Unstoppable Force on ends from what I’ve tested

They’re always right there in the middle of the field and directly involved with a large part of the game. Surely they would activate a lot and make a huge difference with the right ability

Yeah, but you’re usering them which changes a bit. It’s also a bit harder to get pass breakups etc. If you’re set on it, Avalanche is good if you can get a lot of hit stick tackles

What about zone hawk and having them play hook curls?

Not really. Universal coverage is zone hawk for man and zone. Check the MUTGG abilities list to get some better details.

I agree with this. I don’t have X-factors assigned to anyone anymore but Universal Coverage or Unstoppable Force are probably the best two.
When I’ve used X-factors in the past I felt too much pressure trying to activate the x-factors and then when they activated I felt pressure to make them useful for the small window that they’re activated. It became more of a distraction than anything and I‘m better off just running my defense or offense without X-factors.

I just try to have them on some of my best players like usually my QB, WR1 and TE in the chances they’re more activatable. I just have UC on my two safeties and a CB because they have higher chances of getting activated with picks. It does sometimes feel like your pressured to use them but sometimes if it’s on offense I might completely ignore them for the better reads.
