Whats Your Opinion On The Genki Force Promo?

I’m talking more about the anime guys. I personally think this is my LEAST FAVORITE PROMO in madden history, as it feels like a large scam. This isn’t fortnite, or seige, or some other shooter/cartoon game, this is semi-simulation football. It just feels like a large money grab to get fans of that anime to spend money on the game. I don’t know anything about that anime, but I’m pretty sure their physicals aren’t the EXACT SAME as Darren Waller, Jalen Hurts, Jack Gibbons, etc.

Just feels like more degeneracy from EA, kind of like Taylor Swift being panned to every play of a Chiefs game, just a social media money grab To get more people interested and spend money.

promo itself - garbage. Only card i'm even halfway interested in is Havenstein at right tackle (and that's only because the SB Theme Team doesn't have one). 

The house rules? awesome. Quick and easy game mode and chance to make coins - I somehow grinded out 100+ wins last night to claim the auctionable 96 in the store with stars and sold it for 640k. 

Plan on just grinding out house rules the rest of the weekend to claim as much in the store as possible and take the free coins - hopefully today/tomorrow before ULs crash the market

I apparently am in the minority here, but I don’t have a problem with this promo. 

We’ve been given fictitious player items before, such as The Artist. I don’t think contrived players, even  higher-OVR NMS players with oddball chems, are what users are upset about.

I think this promo was fine, mostly because of the timing. This is a dead spot in the NFL calendar. Free agency hasn’t started yet, and we’re weeks away from the draft.

Someone elsewhere suggested that this would have been good for the Asian Football Players promo, and I can answer that that wouldn’t work at all. Anime is peculiarly Japanese, even if it has an international appeal. Pacific Islanders, Hawaiians, etc. would be split in opinion as to whether they think it would be appropriate for players from their non-Japanese culture to be portrayed that way.

Let the kids have fun. Besides, at least this House Rules event actually works.

Taylor swift is shown less than one percent of the time at chiefs games. It’s more or less a problem you’re making up in your head. Same thing as this promo being for anime fans - only a handful of low overall cards aren’t real nfl players so at that point you’re just mad at card art

I know this may come as a shocking statement but if you don't like the cards or promo don't engage in it.  NI matter what the promo is not everyone will like it.  Community is always saying give us something different and when they do people crap on it.  I personally am not a fan of this promo overall but doesn't mean I'm gonna throw shade at EA for doing  something different.  There are plenty of other things to give them grief about.

Side note....I wonder how many people who hate this promo loved Terry Tate or Escape the artist last year.  Or most amusingly probably have OOP players all over the field

I agree it’s not ideal - I’m a Steelers fan. Minkah didn’t do much this year tho

I like the fact you can grind a H2H mode to get various different types of rewards (auctionable champs, NATs, tokens for upgradable players).  Cards seem alright.  DK would be fun.  I did do the NAT 96 from HR and got the RT and for a free card he will be great (especially if we can earn another token to get him fully maxed for the 0 AP linchpin)

I DONT like the road MUT has gone the last 2 promos w/ the pay to win stuff.  I understand MUT has always been pay to win, but selling the ability tokens in the store for the SuperBowl, and now presenting another token type system (where you are conveniently 1 short on just a single player...you know they are going to sell them for point) brings back bad memories.  I feel its testing to see how it sells, and we might see this stuff more in this and future UTs

If next years madden is like this I am just not gonna buy madden let alone play mut. Hopefully ea doesnt get the rights to the nfl again.

This is a good point... the last two promos, especially the Super Bowl promo, we have people complaining that the promo is "too powerful" and "too good" with the light it up tokens and super theme teams. 

Then EA dials it back a notch with this theme team driven promo and less of a money grab promo and people are still complaining. There's no satisfying everyone.

I think that this is a weird promo and I do not understand it why do we have fake people in the promo

Goofy premise but the challenges and House Rules and H2H stuff that comes with it is solid so I can live with it.
