Who Should I put in my slot

I have Kirk in my slot now but he doesn't play too well.  I was looking into hill who I had for a bit but didn't play much with.  So should what abilities should I run on kirk or should I sell him and buy Tyreek?

D-hop solid, waston, and julio are all slot arc  and have good abilities

Carmichael isn't built for the slot. Allen is a good choice but I prefer Edelman there.

If you run julio in the slot and have slot o matic whats the point of route tech? am i missing something?
