I just started playing a couple of weeks ago, got my team up and ready and was ready to reap the rewards of weekend league with my 15 average wins. But now what is this shit, you get a couple of 50k coins and a chance at a freaking 90 player for grinding. Makes no sense.
I used the be the guy who would spend money trying to stay competitive in weekend league but not now. they have to lose money on this.
They went down a whole new path with the Field Pass/Competitive Pass. Its hit or miss depending on how you look at it. Now, you can play anytime you want and earn your rewards on the path. But its every 2 weeks instead of the traditional 1 week. Without a true leaderboard though, WL just lacks and should go back to the Thursday-Sunday schedule.
Yeah I dislike it as well. Would have been cool if they kept the same reward system but still extended it to be all week
Say what you will about the Competitive Field Pass and it's rewards structure as a whole, but surely having the ability to play your 25 games through the entire week instead of shoehorning them all into a weekend is a good thing.

There use to be some charm of playing weekend league. I can’t really explain it, but it’s really disapointing ea removed it. Mut champs feels like a chore at times because of the competitibe pass
I prefer the new format since I have more days to play my games, but I do wish they would have a week long mut champs mode and then in addition a separate weekend league. And then just have all the wins count for the pass. That way people can still have their top 100 etc. weekend league rewards.

I agree with this. I can play during the week and don’t have to grind somuch on the weekend, it helps a lot
I can stand weekend league anymore it just people with maxed out teams and running the newest sweaty cheese plays that they saw a comp madden player use
anyone no method to get alot of training like from sets and stuff
