I run a strict theme team towards the end of every MUT season - generally after the new year. Right now it's too early to do. 35-45 of your theme players only, otherwise it becomes very difficult to compete online.
Give it another couple of months. Theme teams ain't dead.

it takes a lot of fun out of the reveals of programs and TOTW when unless you’re getting 5 new guys from your team you‘re just looking at who the free BND can replace
Cant be said enough that the player pool needs to be much larger, as well as the playbook database. We are stuck in a fishbowl of diversity.

Still watered down compared to years past. You got boosts to 30 different stats. heck you could get improved THP and accuracy stats on your QBs. Each tier was a list of stats that got a boost. Now, just one. And the whale best card available teams were still the best, but TTS were viable. TT is the part of MUT I enjoyed the most because it led to variety in the game and especially H2H. Now, you see the same players in different unis In every online game. And I can go two weeks ignoring promos and TOTW when teams can go that long without gett8ng a card.
And who at EA thought 2 LTD Cowboys 88’s in two days was player base friendly. I’ll stick with my mixed bag team through the year and then likely take a year or two off from the game again. As long as we have this group in charge at EA, the content is going to continue to narrow and the gameplay will be ability driven. We‘re already seeing repeats cards like Ed Reed.
