Why don’t you just call a defensive play that stops the play that they are running? Like if they keep throwing corner routes put 25/30 yard flats….
The thing is people think of it too real when this game is nowhere close to a simulation game. They want to be lazy and not have to make adjustments themselves so they say "Why wont my defense react to it?" They should react to it, but they don't, and it makes everybody mad. Just like agging this year.

Are you implying that aggs are balanced?

No, I meant that just like aggs, everybody's mad, but it's a part of the game and we have to accept it.

Hard agree. Its teh game should react and dont. Especially when people are exploiting plays.

I think people are rightfully upset at aggs because there isn't a counter.

I think they are rightfully upset too, but when there wasn't aggs happening in prior maddens the people didn't like how they saw the same defensive animations over and over and over again. So no matter what we'll be upset.
Its a game where there is 10 AI players playing against 10 other AI players in the most competitive mode. That is your core issue of not user input vs user input. (argument could be made for animation based RNG...You make a play but a coin flip says he drops the pick)
-beginner level players are like the 9th best player on the field yelling at their corners to play better
-Pro player know what they are doing but can only do so much if not properly balanced as they can not cover both sides of the field and need some level of CPU help to lock down a portion of the field if they specifically tell them guard the small corner of the field.
If someone runs the same play on repeat, I keep changing plays or making adjustments until I find something that works. I just think it’s extremely lame to run the same play over and over. I don’t know how that can be fun for someone.
However, it is very rewarding when someone runs the same play on repeat and you keep shutting it down. Weird thing is they usually don’t try something different, they just quit.

This right here. I love it when I finally find a way to shut down someone's one play offense. That is usually all they have.
People talk about calling the same offense every play but no one ever mentions defense. I also find it mind-blowing that guys will run the same defensive play over and over again hoping for different results. Last weekend a guy kept running that over storm brave blitz every time. Onice I figure it out I just kept calling my beater play. 3 TDs later he quit.
