So is throwing the bunch verticals crosser glitching the defense?

Well tbh playing the meta or using the meta is boring. Same exact thing every play. It's annoying bc EA has made a game with no variety and strategy is just running the same 3 plays with the right abilities.
Every game is Bunch(or bunch offset), Tight (or Tight TE), or Singleback wing(usually the bad players). On defense it's dollar (spinner and db fire 2), Nickel Over (overstorm and quarters), or Bnog.
Defense being 8 DBs on the field in particular really irritates football fans who know what would happen irl football if a team did that every play.
Compressed sets have always been borderline unstoppable and its bc the way zones are coded, compressed sets are naturally man coverage killers irl so no issue there.

The answer is no. However verticals shouldn't get open every time against zone.
Example Cover 4 the lb in the middle of the field should carry that te wheel out to the quarter flat then find work back to the short/intermediate middle of the field, the deep safety on the bunch side should pick up the crosser and carry him to the next safety and then find work in deep middle, the outside corner on bunch should run with the outside wr wheel bc he has no help over the top.
Instead the outside quarter and quarter flat match the outside wheel route, the inside quarters stand flat footed until the crosser has run across their face and the 3 rec runs out of the hashes and plays nothing.
This is why people hate the "cheese" players don't react. Verticals should kill cover 3 and cover 2 in different ways but not cover 4 imo. At least not stock.

yeah the 8 dbs being the best shotgun run d is crazy lol

Play should be like it is in real life: good scheming and execution of a play (reading routes, user input, etc.) is what should win games.
It doesnt even have to be realistic play or mirror real life( It'd take a miracle for EA to code it correctly). H2H is supposed to be about beating the player and not the CPU.
Anyone can beat the CPU its not that hard to do especially considering the current game state. A quick Google search for a 5 min video and you can easily win 60- 70% of your games via CPU abuse. People doing it in my opinion aren't good at the game and having to rely on the CPU to win for you isn't anything I'd want to brag about.

Exactly. Pros who value realistic gameplay rely on tricking the user, not the CPU.

They can be but it requires a deal of adjusting and if they have 3 or 4 they can rotate through you'll adjust into a 1 play td.
You can only adjust so much before you start screwing up the entire defense.

So Imagine I run out of tight I run the bench play
I streak both of my outside wrs and put my running back on a flat.
ur running cover 3
How would you like the cpu to defend one of the corner routes? I have 4 deep routes, u have 3 deep zones. Is that cheese? Or just a better playcall

That’s just.. not true. You can’t get that much better in 5 minutes lol. If you can, more people would lol

Homie Press Man with Abilities will carry nearly everyone on Defense and on Offense you just need to attack outside the numbers since CBs cant cover the sidelines in this game.
It really isnt that hard to win at this game, Its so poorly coded you can exploit just about anything you want in it

For real you're not wrong. Any madden where the meta is play man, press, and send 6 to 7 is a bad madden imo.
Years where midblitz, spinner, and overstorm are able to shut down most offenses with minimal adjustments is a bad year. Madden can't replicate real football but it should be a game of adjustments.

Not just pros, anyone. I play Madden the way I played and coached real football. It should be strategy vs strategy and skill vs skill, not who can glitch out CPU code better

You can call it “glitching the cpu“ but you watch any game by pros there isn’t game breaking glitches lmfao. It’s still skill to call the right play. if u watch at the end of last year with 245 odd and how to beat it, they aren’t sitting in a stock cover 2 blitz. They are getting really adjusty, and you have to counter that.
