I think people hope it WILL change someday. Also, people who've joined a community focused on a game are probably going to be significantly more passionate than your average player. Higher highs and lower lows they can express to a group of people who are also passionate about the subject matter.
And people want to vent their frustrations.

My theory...there are no more complainers then in previous years. The major difference is the majority of non-complainers have stopped playing (many I suspect stopped playing without making a post announcing they were not playing anymore...which kinda of screwed up my spreadsheet as I was trying to keep track of everyone's satisfaction status). So...same number of complainers, but less players means the complainers posts just seem more prevalent. I could be wrong...but...as noted...my spreadsheet is all jacked up with folks leaving without making a post about it.

Why does it bother people so much when people complain about the game? Can you not handle negative emotions? It's like people get bent out of shape when someone doesn't love something that they love. People can do whatever the hell they want, ignore them if it hurts your feelings.

Why do we complain? Probably for reasons similar to why people who work at a common job talk trash about their job to one another. Where are we going to go? We like football, and this is the best we can get, even though we know it can be so much better.
I don't understand why there are posts here criticizing people for expressing clearly what's wrong with MUT and Madden. Don't they have anything better to do than complain about people that don't materially affect their experience? If you like Madden, enjoy it, but try to understand why some who enjoy football aren't enjoying MUT, and why for most of us, The Show, NBA 2K, FIFA, PGA Tour 2K, etc. aren't acceptable alternatives.
