And start talking shit? This is Madden, where animations, abilities, cheese, and AI manipulation decides like 80% of the game. Why would you ever get on the mic and start cursing at someone because your cpu got an interception? This community is sad. People take the game too serious because they have no real life success so i guess winning in Madden helps them.

lol 100% for sure, people have sad lives but if they get really good at a video game it justifies them being a total asshole over the internet. Just feel bad for them, I will never talk to someone over the mic in a game anymore. If I really feel like it, I'll pop on and tell them it must be nice to be so lucky, or better to be lucky than good. something along those lines usually gets guys pretty fired up, then mic off, blocked. I don't have time for it. I get to play 5-8 hours a week, i don't have time for the toxicity.
I like to try to reason with these people and also imitate them like the SpongeBob meme

Lmao i'd pay money to see that
Why not get in the mic? If I'm playing someone for real were able to trash talk and whatnot. Why not get on the mic unless you soft?

there's nothing hard about trash talk over a mic though. it's just annoying and childish, what is the point? what are you gaining from being mean to someone you do not know? do that crap with your buddies, not strangers you weirdo
Honestly, I don't think there's anything wrong with celebrating a big play or some casual trash talk. Obviously, there are some people that take it too far. It's just the nature of online gaming since you can be relatively anonymous when you speak.
Now, I'm also someone who keeps voice chat muted at all times. You can call me soft all you want. I'll admit it. But I'm going do what works for me. I'd rather be focused than lose because I got tilted.
I have used the mic a few times. Mainly to ask for someone to play it straight or to run some different plays. I've stopped doing it though. Partly because I guess how someone plays the game is up to them, even if 4th and 23 from their 8 does seem a bit unrealistic but mainly because there's no point. A lot of players seem to want to play silly buggers for 10 minutes and then quit, presumably in order to luck into a player worse than them? How that helps them longer term I've no idea so I just turned the mic off and accepted that H2H is a shit show full of children.
I’ll only get on there if the guy is spamming RPO’s the entire game. I’ll usually tell him that it must suck to not be able to run a true offense or something of that nature. Sometimes they lock in and want to win, sometimes they just run the same stuff so I’ll just leave at some point.
