I keep losing like 8 in a row now and I'm like it's just really frustrating to just keep playing. I just wanna have some fun lmao but the way games have been going it's really frustrating
take a break, a couple days off. you will be shocked how well you play when you come back.
Way to many Try Hards and never worth the stress for any reason
I have fun with it although there are times it's frustrating. Mid blitz spammers smacking my QB in the face within a second or two...yeah. But I just look at it as a meme that happens to be tons of fun when everything goes well. It takes some legit skill for sure, but it's still a bit of a meme that shouldn't be taken seriously...at all.
I have been ~ 50% win rate in H2H since starting MIT 5 years ago. However I’ve given up this year. Not sure what the difference is but I’m matched against killers each and every game this year. I’m guessing the casual gamers have left Madden?
Less players = less casuals.
The game is like 26th on Xbox live right(it was 3rd the same time last year) now nobody except the most dedicated players are playing anymore. On PlayStation it’s about the same. It’s a very small player pool relative to Maddens of the past. It’s basically all the people who were still playing 24 in June left. The game is dead and that’s just a fact numbers don’t lie. On steam its population is only like 1,800 players a day down from about 5,000 the same time last year. I can not stress this enough this game is dead but that’s a good thing since EA will take a massive financial hit with this sad excuse of a game.

You're not alone. Hate the game, not the player. M25 has been an absolute disaster. Despite our extremely low expectations, somehow EA still managed to disappoint and deliver yet another in a long series of buggy ass messes.
I've wasted a ton of time in the past couple/few years ranting and raving, essentially pissing into the wind -- they might have finally broke me. It's getting more and more difficult to care and that's the worst thing we can do to EA, is become apathetic towards Madden franchise. At the moment, any engagement (even negative) still allows them to twist metrics to demonstrate that we're still somehow engaged with the game.
Simply turning this busted shit off and going about my life is unfortunately the only "solution" at the moment. Hardly ideal, but it's not liek they're all of a sudden going to learn how to develop a good, fun, let alone fair, balanced and competitive Ultimate Team game mode. EA is incompetent and quite frankly, doesn't give a flying fuck as long as the dollars come rolling in, which they will, as they are literally the only NFL simulation game in town.
I suggest you find a playbook with great 'mtn' (motion) plays, preferably in Gun formations.
I use the Chiefs.
I have found 'mtn' plays to be great against disengage blitz spammers (mid blitz, etc).
Make hot routes to create space all over the field, also set your routes (using 'stem') to go deeper than usual (behind their zone drops).
Include corner, post, drag, and deep (route stemmed) 'dig' routes on the back side. Get creative. I can go into further detail, but it is best you try things out for yourself.
Make a read.
Pro tip: Take the sack, instead of forcing an ill advice pass. Oh, and 'HIGH' pass when in doubt.
Best of wishes.

For me...it's frustrating because I expect some consistency in card performance. The frustration comes in because I fully know that is not going to happen (inconsistency is the only thing that can be predicted)...but...I keep thinking an 88 will beat an 83 most of the time. I now concede out at the first sign of frustration from either EA or my opponent. Zero chance I will allow EA or my opponent to drag me down a four quarter rabbit hole.

I am in a similar boat. I have played competitive every year for the last 5 years most times enjoying the chess match.
This year feels different and aside from House Rules to get Horn, I stopped playing online.
This MidBlitz meta reminds me of the Madden a few years ago that the blitz was so powerful to start the game, nobody played actual defense. I just don’t remember it going this long before they Fn fixed it.
Yeah it’s hard to enjoy it against certain opponents. I’ll find a fun opp every once in a while
whenever I get matched up against a super goon I just let my 7 year old play them (he’s horrible and makes the game last for 2 hours)
