I got screwed on one loss because the servers suck then i lost my 3rd because my opponent was clocking me. It literally says 7 plays each! I was beating him and he scored then somehow the clock became a factor after he took ages on his second drive to barely edge me out. THERE SHOULD BE NO CLOCK!
I understand it's frustrating to lose because the clock ran out. But a game clock is pretty much necessary to make sure games eventually end. If there was no clock games could theoretically go on for hours. And I don't think anyone wants that.
I also initially thought each player would only get seven offensive plays in the game. But it's seven downs or turn the ball over.

Thats the thing. Why not just give both teams 7 downs to get as many points as possible and be done with it! The rules of the mode seem extremely not thought out.

So you win after an INT?

I get that loosing is can be frustrating, but at the end of the day it comes down to strategy, and first few games of HR can be a learning curve as we have to adapt to the different rules. I did the same thing someone yesterday and ran the clock down from under 3 min just by running and chewing clock. He was pissed and attempted to go offsides as if that would stop it but it did not lol, so he got mad rage quit lol.
Just learn the strategy and adapt bro, it is what it is.

No. So the game starts in Q3 with whoever is on offense at their own 10 yard line. They have 7 downs to do whatever they can. After those 7 downs, the other team gets the ball, either at the stopping point, or their own 10 if a TD was given up. The 2nd team has 7 downs as well, but they also only have whatever time is left. First thing I do on offense is put chew clock on.
The ball can keep trading hands if you play fast or turn it over. 30 point leads ends it automatically. 1 pt for (all) plays over 10 yards. I can't remember how much you get for long TDs, but I think it's 12. No kicking at all.

It would be fine if you could get points on defense. Like a point for a sack or loss of yards. But being able to just chew clock with 7 downs and the other team not having any time outs is bullshit.

It is not bs, just don't turn the ball over. It rewards those who take care of the ball.
7 plays each is misleading......
I played a game yesterday.
IT IS 7 PLAYS EACH POSESSION!
You have to win by 30 points.
It went on for way too long before I won.
It is a very time-consuming house rules!

How do you take care of the ball on defense?
Frankly, I am shocked that people are taking advantage of the built in clock to get wins, actually I’m not people take winning and losing too seriously they look for every conceivable advantage whether its copy & paste TTs and schemes and plays. Herds of players with minimal amounts of plays and formations same strategy all around because winning is everything and they need that dopamine hit. I really liked Genki Forces HR it was more of an equalizer. I am guessing I will just stick to solo battles on this one.

Genki force was definitely the model going forward, but I dont mind this one as it penalizes those who rely solely on rpo cheese for offense as they only have 7 plays and most rpo's if defended correctly are not gaining more then 9 yards.

NGL, I totally responded to the wrong comment. My bad bro.

I’ll give it a try before giving up on it. I’m not running the rpo cheese nor do I care to keep up with the meta. I have a team I like that changes constantly and I run the plays I want to run not a spam of a few. I just don’t play much H2H modes because most players are obnoxious they play with the same squads with the same plays and celebrate into the endzone with every score then go for 2 instead kicking an XP. I don’t go for 2 and I punt on 4th instead of going for it and I don’t celebrate after everything I do. I will start doing these obnoxious things if my opponent starts it though. Once I have had enough of that behavior and I go back to playing the AI on Solo battles.

I empathize with that man. I am not sure if all the reasonable people went over the mlb the show last weekend, but I kid you not maybe 23 of the 25 mut champs games I played were against people who just ran rpo cheese and did not want to throw the ball 5 yards past the line of scrimmage. It honestly made me want to quit and sell my team cause it was so frustrating. Thankfully this HR as been refreshing so far as it prevents that and incorporates some element of critical thinking. However I also understand that genki force was definitely better and this HR may not be everyone's cup of tea.
