Sup guys. This can be a little controversial but there are two sides to this question.
Example: Would you rather have a player like:
Calvin Johnson
- not that fast (95-96 spd)
- 6'5"
Tyreek Hill
- Very fast
- 5'9"-5'10"

true but height does this year as well. thats why Calvin is so good for a 95
I don't know why everyone is so obsessed about WRs height. Maybe it does matter on next gen, but not so much on old gen. I even ran some tests on PC. I created a 5-5 CB and a 7-0 WR, then I put this tall boy on a streak to see if he could aggressive catch consistently against the little guy. Man-to-man, no safety help, all the other stats identical - 99s across the board - the only difference was height. And what do you know - of the 15 targets or so he caught the ball only twice. Then I tried the other way around - 5-5 WR vs 7-0 CB - and it was interceptions on every single throw.
I lean towards height in mut because there is so much speed all over the field. You have to have speed to keep up. And it's very hard to be fast enough to have a significant edge. Im loving the new Fitz card
I mean the thing is 95 speed can be taken up to 98 without a theme team, so the taller wr is just better in the endgame. Right now though I think it's pretty even

Height on next gen is about the most important attribute for WR/DBs.
Its a deep out/spec catch meta and the size is noticeable. Not to mention catches on the sidelines taller guys are getting the better animations/not alligator arming it.
Dawg it’s not one or the other. Have both. If you’re in the redzone where it’s hard to create separation because of the condensed area, obviously height can have a bigger factor. If you still have lots of field, then speed can be better in certain instances. It‘s totally situational.
Also, on next gen height is a big deal. Plus great receivers have better cuts on next gen. If you have a receiver such as Andre Johnson, he’ll have a lot better routes than other 95’s on next gen, not on current gen. Current gen players all run the same exact routes. Current gen plays arcade style, next gen is much more simulation like.
