note: gamers with Game Pass subscription do not necessarily need to upgrade. i personally am quitting Game Pass this year.

EA Play is included in the Game Pass subscription so free Madden 22

Xbox Live (no Game Pass, no EA Play)

xbox live $9.99 monthly or $59.99 yearly
