Bills Theme Team Linebacker Question

I have a Bills theme team (45/50 FS and OL are killing me) and I use a 4-3 defense.

My current starters are ROBL Milano (94), MLB Fletcher (92), LOBL Alonso (88/90). I'm not sure they are all really used due to running a lot of dime and having Sean Taylor as my subLB - but I don't consistently use one set of defenses and I'll often just find a play I like via the Madden suggestions. So sometimes they might show up i their natural positions.

I am going to be unlocking the 94 comp pass Edmunds MLB. Based on how the card plays, what would be the correct position for me to slot him in at? I don't always user my linebacker, but I probably do around 50% of the time. Will Edmonds be an upgrade over Fletcher hypothetically, if one would be in that position over the other? It seems like Edmunds might be more stiff. Or based off actual usage, would he be better of in the LOBL position taking over the much lower ovr Alonso? Sometimes I'll see Alonso in the game as an extra blitzer and occasionally in coverage.

Sorry for rambling, but I don't really know the ins and outs of playbooks and alignments/packages. I use the Bills Defensive playbook.

if u used the 88 edmunds, he wasnt that bad, and with a tt, i feel the tremaine edmunds would be able to replace ur current cuz hes semi quick, and huge in game. idrk how dime runs, havent used it much, but if it has rolb and lolb on the field, then u should prolly play him outside and keep fletcher inside.

Your lbs should only see the field in your base sets - 4-3, 34, 44 Split, 46

In Nickel, BNoG, Dime, Dollar, they will not be on the field at all unless you sub them in or have them on your specialist tab at sub lb.

Go into practice mode and you'll see what formations in your playbook they come out in.

That being said, I would play Edmunds at MLB and have Fletcher as MLB 2. Look at upgrading your lb corps if you find yourself using those base sets often but I don't think you do since you said you run mostly dime. Again, checking in practice mode what you normally use should tell you.

It's great to have solid LBs out there for the few times you may have to get into base D, example would be against run heavy opponents who you are having trouble stopping or near the goalline. Otherwise, you should be using safeties at your sub lb spots and ensuring your lbs aren't on the field
