Help with CB and Safetys!!

Hi! I have some doubts with this positions.

I played usually with 3-4 scheme. 

How many CBs I need in the team? And how many SS and FS? I dont know how work de lineup when i playe Dime or Nickel plays. I want to know which kind of player goes in when i select this plays. I want to know that because i see that in some plays my backups CB and S goes in and they are really bad.

Fill them in as much as you can. Some formations pull other ones up in certain plays. Plus I have SS backup as my sub lb back up so it takes a CB (maybe a free safety) to slot at SS2 if theyre all playing that play

Personally I’d say youre gonna need 3 really good starting CBS and then one decent CB4. You’re gonna need 2 SS (one user, one coverage) though.

The 4th CB enters only in quarters or prevent os something like that?

I press the optimize lineup button. And it put me my 1st SS in the SubLB slot. 

I dont really understand how it works. I think that i will put my SS as MLB and then in the SS spot it will put my SSback?

And if i play in dime, who is the other MLB? The backFS or the backSubLB?

I hope that i explained well, maybe im mixing concepts or saying things that dont have any sanse.

most of it makes sense so youre good there. 

When you hit optimize the only thing that does is put your highest overall players in all the spots and you may not want that for certain reasons (ie you want someone as a backup or 2/3rd wr/cb etc). Your sublb can replace your mlb for certain schemes. SS are better than LBs because LB cant jump without lurker (thanks to older MUTs where certain LBs were too crazy good with hops so they uncoded that and people use SS because its cheaper to not use AP just to have that person do what theyre supposed to normally). 

If you only put in a sub1 I believe it pulls your next up MLB for sub2 unless you put someone there. Like I said, I have Palo Mao in SS 1, Atwater 2, Hooker fs1, woodson fs2. I then have Palo Mao in sub1 and Hendricks (OLB) in my Sub2. So in certain formations, it pulls Palo down to my user lb, Atwater is now my deep safety. In certain situations where you have 3 safeties on the field, that puts Atwater, Hooker, and Woodson on the field (I believe prevent or some other deep covers?). If you dont have backups itll pull your CBs or someone who is not on the field that play. You only get 55 spots to work with overall, so you do want to recycle a lot of players as much as possible in the specialist tab that you have in your regular line up if possible. You can really struggle with this if youre going for a 40/50 or 50/50 theme team because it limits you either better positions or other people you want to use in your not normal line up.
